Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme or pay a contribution. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.

• 2009 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Clos Saint Philibert Blanc 90 Points

  France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

  Creamy bouquet with yellow plums and vanilla. On the palate white fruits, some spiciness, vanilla, full bodied, good acidity, some pleasant bitterness and length. Beautiful wine now and the next few years. 90+

• 2009 Geantet-Pansiot Gevrey-Chambertin en Champs 91 Points

  In the bouquet cherries, green herbs and some rustic flavors. On the palate juicy and ripe fruits, some rustic flavors, oak and refined. Good freshness, tannin and pleasant bitterness. Good length.

  In the bouquet a bit locked, but there are impressions of red berries, cherries and earth. On the palate red berries, herbs, pine forest impressions, firm acidity and a touch of sweetness. Good length. The tannin is still a bit sticky. 91 - 92+

• 2009 Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 92 Points

  The bouquet is still a bit locked but shows red berries herbs, medicine, and some glue impressions. On the palate red berries, vanilla, rustic, ripe fruits, vanilla, bitter cherries, dark berries, full bodied and sticky tannin. In this stage not very well balanced, but the wine needs time. For now 90+. For the future expectations 93+, so I will score it 92 in CT.

  Beautiful bouquet with dark berries and rustic stable impressions, minerals and tea. On the palate dark and red berries, leather, rust, autumn forest, mushrooms, very beautiful acidity and a good length.

  The bouquet is a bit locked but has some autumn forest impressions. The same on the palate, juicy acidity, some green notes, soft tannin.

  Quite dark color. In the bouquet cherries and green impressions, some minerals and a bit rustic. On the palate a full bodied wine with herbs and spices, beautiful red berry fruit acidity, mild and still somewhat sticky tannin and a medium plus length.

  Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, beautiful oak, cedar and forest floor. On the palate concentrated and juicy dark berries, good acidity and firm tannin. Meaty. Improves in the glass. The wine is still a bit too young. 92 - 93

  Beautiful and complex bouquet with red berries, green herbs, autumn forest and animals. On the palate red berries, firm acidity and beautiful bitterness. Overall an elegant and a bit fragile wine. The bouquet promises more than it offers on the palate. Still a bit too young? Hope to taste again with some more age on it. 91 - 94+?
