  • 2009 Sojourn Pinot Noir Rodgers Creek Vineyard Sonoma Coast 91 Points

Medium red color. This wine is from the coldest of Sojourn's vineyard sites and is predominantly (80%) Pommard clones. Vanilla, cherry, rspberry, forest floor, and mushrooms. The palate is tart with precise berry fruit follwoing to a long finish. 91+ to 92pts.

  • 2009 Sojourn Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard 92 Points

USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

Dark Garnet color. The nose shows really bright fruit, lush strawberry, raspberry, and less earth than the others now. The palate is not as lush, but coasts nicely, and has tangy acidity and follows with some spice on the finish.

  • 2009 Sojourn Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast 93 Points

USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

Dark garnet color. This is the biggest of the 4 current releases, very Cali and not in a bad way. The fruit profile here shows some darker fruits, black cherry, black raspberry, with florals and less of the forest floor, but some minerality. The palate has crisp acid to balance the bigger fruit, subtle oak, and spice on a long finish. This drank considerably better from the start than the bottle a week ago. My favorite of the current releases.

  • 2009 Sojourn Pinot Noir Ridgetop Vineyard 94 Points

USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

Dark garnet color. Sourced from fruit from a small vineyard parcel of Fred Shrader and Thomas Brown, this is a pre-release bonus bottle. The nose is more exotic offering copious amounts of earth, truffle, blueberries, black cherry, and aromatic florals. The palate is balanced with lovely acid, integrated tannins and shows a long finish. This was my overall fav of the pinots.

  • 2008 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 92 Points

USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain

Dark red/purple color. This is showing remarkably well for such a youngster. Creme de cassis on the nose with plums and spices. The palate is lush and shows nice layers. Long finish. 92+pts.

  • 2008 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Proprietary Cuvée 93 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Purple red color. A proprietary blend of fruit sourced from Beckstoffer Georges III (50%), Spring Mountain (40%), and Howell mountain (10%). Though still an infant this shows black fruits on the nose with considerable earth, modest oak and spices. The palate is very concentrated with gorgeous black fruits layered in with earth, vanilla, and spice. Long finish. This shows great promise 93-95pts.
