I like this a lot. Lots of lemon, lemon peel and lemon custard with floral notes and some faint tropical hints I expect will fade. Starts with lush fruit, more restrain and textures emerging through middle and long finish. Very impressive for its vintage.

Much like another bottle from a few weeks ago, this is clearly very ripe but manages to maintain great restrain and balance with excellent countervailing structural elements.

Very impressive. More weight and density vs 2003. Ripe apple, lemon peel and toasted almonds lead a broad cross-section of complex aromas and flavors that kept evolving. A wine I will certainly be buying.

Slightly more mature than i expected, this showed black cherry, woodsy spice, and emerging forest floor. Good, but certainly not close to the best bottle I've had of this wine.

A very good 2003. Initially comes across as too ripe and simple, but there is enough acidity, and dry extract that I have confidence this wine will age gracefully.

Black fruit and braised meat. Lots of fruit, lots of structure coming together nicely with lots of everything. Another very good showing for this wine.

Dark black fruit with modest spice. Slightly backward with structure as prominent as fruit and spice. Not quite as balanced and exciting as another bottle from a year ago.

Very lush, slightly tropical, but the fat/ripe fruit is nicely offset with good structure emerging middle to finish.

All red fruit on nose and palate, very forward but still in balance. Most likely best young while fresh (now-2015?) given modest acidity.
