Introduction
Wow, this was clearly a great event for Stockholm. Some very fine wines were displayed with california, oregon and Washington state. I did not have as much time as I had hoped but did the best of the situation.
Besides the wines for which I had some rudimentary notes and which are included here, I also tried wines from Cristom, Chehalem, Freemark Abbey, Grgich Hills, Calera, Hansen Cellars, Inglenook, Paul Lato, County Line, Morada, Merry Edwards, Layer cake, omero, peirano, Willamette Valley Vineyards. These notes were too hard to decipher. However, the inglenook wines were just plain great.
...and there were several high end wineries that I did not get around to tasting this time.

oh, my, this was clearly one of the top wines of this tasting. I think it was a near complete young top flight cabernet. Had fruit, character, freshness, silky tannins, grip and energy, sap, and very balanced on the whole.

This was a lot of everything and a very good rich young cali cab. But compared to the monte bello 2012 this felt slightly clumsy and over oaked and forward. I am sure it will be a great wine when it has some time to settle down.

a very serious wine, you can taste the enticing green of the cab franc and stemmy structure. Great wine but a tannic monster right now, will it mellow in time? I would put this away for quite some years.

a very serious pinot that achieves elegance and freshness and structure way beyond the other wines in the line up, for the long haul. right now the monument tree was drinking extremely well, but this will catch up and surpass with time.
