Beautiful and focused bubble. Some brioche, a bit salty, good citrus and very clean.

2013 Didier Dagueneau Sancerre Le Mont Damné 93 Points

Focused bouquet with citrus, minerals and a touch of petrol. On the palate the same. A lot of focus and really beautiful with good acidity. Improved considerably when the wine became a bit less cold.

In the bouquet beautiful oak and citrus. On the palate grasses, luxurious oak, beautiful acidity and length. The wine improves with more air and a little less cold than in the first instance. 94 – 95

This is an extreme wine! Fireworks! Literally :-). In the bouquet and on the palate. Beautiful and firm acidity, citrus, oak, expressive and full bodied. Great length. Very special and I love it!

2000 Château Lynch-Bages 95 Points

In the bouquet ripe dark berries, beautiful oak and even still lactic. On the palate there is some development, but the wine is still very powerful with juicy and good acidity, some truffle and autumn forest. Still pleasantly sticky tannin. Great wine for now and the next 8+ years.

Fantastic and extremely luxurious bouquet with ripe dark berries, cedar, vanilla from the oak and pencil shavings. On the palate beautiful and harmonious juice with dark berries again, beautiful acidity and round tannin with still a beautiful bite. Great wine with a good length.

The bouquet shows some autumn forest impressions, a firm dose of oak and dark berries. On the palate red and dark berries, some green bell pepper. The wine is quite classical and still a bit locked. Needs another 5+ years to show all of its finesse and complexity. 92 - 94++

So happy to have had this wine in my glass and probably for once. The bouquet shows luxurious oak and cedar, dark berries and graphite. On the palate lush black berry fruits, beautiful acidity and a pleasant touch of sweetness. This wine holds the middle between a classical and modern wine. Truly great and with still a good future.

Beautiful bouquet with stable smells and autumn impressions, red berries and also some bell pepper. On the palate beautiful red fruits acidity and a good length. Beautiful drinking stage and not tired yet.

Beautiful rustic bouquet with ripe dark berries, cedar and graphite. On the palate juicy dark berries, vanilla, cedar, graphite and a beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness. Already a great pleasure, but the tannin hold a promise for at least another decade. 95 - 97+

In the bouquet red berries and spiciness and beautiful oak and cedar. On the palate ripe dark and red berries, vanilla, beautiful acidity and tannin. Also a touch of pleasant sweetness. More classical than modern impressions in this vintage. For some more expressive complexity and finesse it is probably wine to wait until 2024+. 94+

2000 Château Léoville Las Cases 95 Points

The bouquet is still enormously youthful and lactic with yoghurt and even banana impressions. A bit locked in fact because the cedar and cigar box which was there in 2011 hardly shows. On the palate red berries, bell pepper, juicy acidity, beautiful tannin and a great length. Imho this wine is in a bad drinking stage because it hardly shows what it really has in store. Wait until 2025 or even better 2030. In its youth I scored this wine 99, but now in this drinking stage only 94 - 95.

In the bouquet beautiful dark berries, mocha, chocolate, luxurious oak and cedar and complexity. On the palate the same impressions; juicy berries, good acidity and round tannin. Luxurious and complex. Already a feast, but with a future until at least 2025 - 2030+.

In the bouquet ripe dark berry fruits, chocolate, espresso, beautiful oak and cedar as well as sweet spices. Same on the palate; juicy read and dark berries and good herbs and spices. The wine is not really showing itself, but is already a great pleasure. Better wait until 2025 - 2030+.

In the bouquet a firm amount of bell pepper, herbs and spices. On the palate juicy bell pepper, good length and not as much complexity and finesse as the previous wine in this tasting. Overall the wine is complex and ready with pleasant acidity and a good bite.

The bouquet is still locked, but very luxurious with beautiful oak and cedar and black berries. On the palate juicy berries, the same luxurious impressions, beautiful acidity, still youthful tannin and a great length. There is still a lot of potential in this wine. A gift from the sommelier… :-) In the bouquet polishing wax, apricots and honey. Same on the palate, a lot of sweetness, caramel, and butterscotch and ripe pineapple. There is also beautiful acidity which makes this great wine.
