2024 New Year's Day Double Blind Tasting: Double-blind. Great nose on this wine. Ripe black fruit and black cherry. Cedar, spice, and a touch of sweetness on the finish. I thought it could be a Pavie or maybe a Dominus or Dunn as the finish suggested it could be new world from an old world producer. This is a plush wine.

Enjoyed next to an ‘05 SHL and both were incredible. The bouquet on this was top notch with perfect integration. In that middle phase before tertiary takes over but no hard edges. Love it. 10 more years easy.

Aromas of plums and anise follow through with tastes of earthy woods and dark cherries. A suave wine, tannins melded, great balance. Needs 30 minutes in a decanter. Drink now.
