  Apricot, florals on tghe nose, full bodied, plump on the palate, some oarnge blossom notes, balanced acids, good length. Quite enjoyed this.

  Dark fruit, touch of fruit pastille about it, blackberries, some meatiness on the palate, soft tannins, fresh acids, good length, harmonious fiinish. Drinking well, probably at peak now.

  Intense, slightly closed nose, ripe blackcurrant. More open on the palate which is medium/full, blackcurrant fruit, firm but fine tannins, fresh accidity, slightly constrained, grippy finish. Should improve.

  This has a wild, slightly feral nose, red fruit at the core but also pickled vegetables, white pepper. Better on the palate, but still a touch gamey and peppery. Not sure about this.

  This shows pure dark fruit, cracked black pepper. Medium/full, black frited, black pepper, soft and polished, fresh acids, quite long though a touch constrained on finish. Excellent potential though and should improve.

  Lovely, aromatic complex nose - showing strawberreis, flroals, bacon, soil. Complex and alluring. Medium bodied, elegant, fully resolved, red fruit, tapenade, bacon, fresh acidity, long harmonious finish. Classic Cote-Rotie at its peak. Now and next 3-5 years I'd say.

  Slightly high tined, resd fruited, touch of tobacco, warm bricks. Quite claret-like in fact. Medium bodied, red fruit, spice, soft tannins but slightly dilute and falls away on medium length finish, which just shows a hint of black olive. Drink up on this showing.

  Nose quite a lot more youthful than the 99 - with darker, blackberry fruit, notes of grilled beef, spice, medium/full bodied, fine tannins, quite rich with decent length. Qyuite enjoyed this.
