He did bottle some 750s for tastings, which is what we are tasting today. Stunning nose of roses, black fruit, and tar. Dark, powerful, complex, expansive on the long finish. Just wow! Really blows everything before it out of the water. Later with lunch, just fucking great! 97-99 |

Coats the mouth, finish evoles across the palate and lingers forever. Thought this would be good, was blown away. Highest score I've ever given a Barolo - not a feminine, austere Barolo, this is huge and beyond delicious. |

With time in the glass it gained depth, adding rich raspberry, hints of moist soil and truffle. Displaying mineral-driven, silky textures contrasted by a core of vibrant acidity on the palate. Black cherry, licorice, sweet herbs and menthol all flowed effortlessly across the senses. It finished on fine tannin with dried cherry and inner floral tones lingering long. |

12/2/2023 - Caruso Likes this wine: 97 pointsRuby, still quite intensely coloured at least for a nebbiolo based wine, with orange hue in thin layers. The nose deliveres right from the start without airing scents of smoke, tar, dark fruits, roses, celery, cherries and pine. On the palate it shows a great balance of fruit, acids and tannins. Already quite smooth. With more time, maybe 30 minutes in the glass it gets more intensety, nose as palate. Extended airing over hours from the bottle takes some of the nuances. This is ready to drink and should hold through for 10-15 more years before slow decline. 5/14/18/10. 98 points from Larner for the WA. -2038 Nearly extraordinary. |

Östliche Ausrichtung auf 400 M.ü.M. 25 Tage Mazeration bei 32°, Ausbau während 48 Monaten in grossen Holzfässern aus slawonischer Eiche. 15% Alkohol, 5.8g/l Säure, 31g/l Trockenextrakt). Unglaublich expressiv, der Duft springt förmlich aus dem Glas, super floral, mit Kräutern, Veilchen, Tee, für mich eine absolute Nasendroge, ein Wein zum Eintauchen, zum Meditieren, zum Niederknien. Im Gaumen seidenweich, das ist eine Delikatesse, sondergleichen, ungemein präzis, verspielt, rotfruchtig und top strukturiert, die Tannine sind von höchster Güte, die wohl dosierte Säure belebt, dieser Wein hat ungemein viel Finesse und Präzision, eine Erhabenheit, die seinesgleichen sucht. Zeigt im Abgang eine ausgezeichnete Länge und viel Balance. Das ist grosses Barolo-Kino. It‘s pretty full-bodied, with high acidity and medium-high tannin, that is exceptionally silky. Long finish with plenty of complexity. A superb Cerretta from one of Piemonte‘s legendary producers. This still has a long life ahead. |
