Pale ruby color, bricking at the rim. Intoxicating nose of earth, pinot noir fruit, cherries and blackberries, nice complexity, long finish. Terrific for a 35 year old Village wine! Stayed strong and kept developing throughout the evening.

For such a young wine the complexity is impressive. Citrus flavours up front but it's peachy and tropical too. A touch of creaminess in this wine that has a juicy body too. Lots of layers. Very lovely.

Delicious and drinking well now; classic Corton nose with sauvage, ferrous notes, lovely red berry fruits and floral notes. The palate is on the lighter end of the spectrum for Corton, but is delicious, still packed with flavor and has lovely refinement. Drinking well now, but should continue drink well for at least 5-10 years.

We recently dined at an amazing Parisian restaurant where the entire menu, wine included was extremely reasonable yet of such a high caliber that I will include some pictures. We drank two bottles of Burgundian Pinot Noir, the first being this Chorey Les Beaune. I did not want to detract from dinner so very basic notes were taken.

Medium ruby, more extracted than I expected. Aromas of strawberry, cherries jubilee, a touch of baking spices and some smoke. Medium (-) tannins and a medium acidity lead to a medium body. Delicious with flavors of dark cherry, strawberry coulis, baking spice and charred oak on a medium finish. 91 points and for $40 this is a 4 star effort.

Beautiful Burgundies of Domaine Maillard Pere & Fils with Winemaker Pascal Maillard & Importer Olivier Daubresse (Chain Bridge Cellars, McLean, VA): delicious and very nice if you like your white burgundy very high in acidity; some may find it a touch out of balance in favor of the acidity but I very much enjoyed this.

Delicious, fresh, classic Burgundy nose of truffle/damp soil with sous bois, tea spice, animal fur, etc. Cherry and orange top note that provides a juicy, fresh feel, though the midpalate is a bit lean at this point, especially for the vintage. More about the aromatics at this point. Easily 92 points on the nose but the fruit is drying out a tad. YUM. 91-92.

Fully mature, but wonderfully so. Decanted at 6pm and drunk through 8pm. Best at around 7:30. Corral brown/crimson in color with extremely earthy, cedary and gamey aromas. Elegant on the tongue like a ballet dancer yet intensely flavored with roasted game meat, cedar, saddle leather and cherry. Very long aftertaste. On its last legs but so, so enjoyable.

Definitely some bottle variation at this age. Popped and poured at a dinner. It could have used 1/2 in a decanter. Similar to last notes, but had a eucalyptus note that never quite blew off. Still a good mature burgundy and great for a village wine. Hope the next 4 are are good as the last 2.

Clean and medium-strong nose. Very fruity with lots of dark cherries. A bit of ink and oak. Medium-bodied palette where fruitiness fills the mouth. Juicy and easy-to-drink. Tannins are slightly powdery and there's a bit of oak in the finish. Fruit-forward and easy.

Very simlar experience to what ERICINDC is describing.
Initial funk blew off after 2h in the decanter, giving way to overripe apples, almonds and hints of petrol, musty wood, butter and lemon.
Strong acidity and very long on the finish. Interesting and highly enjoyable.

Still loving this, and still magical on the nose. Mushroom notes becoming more prominent on the palate. While still tremendous, this bottle is not showing quite as well as prior bottles over the past few years; no clue if this is due to bottle variation or the start of the wine's (amazingly delayed) decline. I wasn't planning to hold these much longer anyway - I'm moving my "drink by" date to 12/31/2013 with aim to check my last bottle at Thanksgiving of this year.

Slightly better than last bottle. Solidly mature with nice bricking, great earthy/funky nose red fruited nose, and a solid taste of red fruits, leather, earth, light bitterness and a light drying. Medium body, good acidity, tannins pretty much fully integrated. Should be ok for a few more years.

(at Le Boudin Blanc - London) Delicious everyday burgundy. Ripe fruit, purple flowers and a bit of earthiness define the profile. Light, easy to drink and a perfect match for something a tad rustic to eat. All pleasure - not cerebral. I enjoy this more than the score indicates. (88)

2014 Domaine Maillard Corton Renardes Grand Cru.
Stunning. Straight from the bottle is a beautiful aroma of hyacinth, roses, and ripe strawberries. Clean, wow. A texture unique of its own. Very glycerine-y, seductive nearly extraterrestrial. It has flavors that remind me of lavender, perfectly ripened cherries, rose jam and only the perfect dash of the smell of garden mulch. It didn’t last more than an hour open sadly- it was the first offering of the evening. Very classic, and entirely deserving of its’ Grand Cru designation. I’m not opening another one for another 7-10 years. It has all the makings of perfection in my humble opinion.

Expressive nose of stone fruit and some tropical notes of dried pineapple and coconut oil (more of a new world nose). Bright fruit on the palate, blood orange, macerated lemon and vanilla. Oak influences??

Fare Thee Well, Lounge (My House): Cork pulled about half an hour before pouring. Elegant with a capital E, a prototype for what Burgundy can and should be. Slight funk in the process of blowing off when poured, some leather, mushroom, muted cherry candy notes, thyme. Simply stunning in it's balance and poise. With the duck, beyond words. One of the top food and wine combos of my life. Many thanks to Kenneth for contributing this.

Decanted for two hours ahead of dinner. Deep ruby, medium bodied. Fruit (cherries, black cherries) and earthiness competing for attention on savory palate. Very profound and subtle. Lengthy finish. Made the 'burgundian' Drouhin 'Laurene' Oregon pinot seem obstinately new world and one dimensional. Superb with sautéed duck breast.
