11/7/2013 - jal Likes this wine: 93 pointsPale ruby color, bricking at the rim. Intoxicating nose of earth, pinot noir fruit, cherries and blackberries, nice complexity, long finish. Terrific for a 35 year old Village wine! Stayed strong and kept developing throughout the evening. |

3/2/2018 - jnewman77 Likes this wine: NRDelicious and drinking well now; classic Corton nose with sauvage, ferrous notes, lovely red berry fruits and floral notes. The palate is on the lighter end of the spectrum for Corton, but is delicious, still packed with flavor and has lovely refinement. Drinking well now, but should continue drink well for at least 5-10 years. |

3/6/2023 - caspernick Likes this wine: 91 pointsWe recently dined at an amazing Parisian restaurant where the entire menu, wine included was extremely reasonable yet of such a high caliber that I will include some pictures. We drank two bottles of Burgundian Pinot Noir, the first being this Chorey Les Beaune. I did not want to detract from dinner so very basic notes were taken. |

10/13/2021 - Xavier94 Likes this wine: 91 pointsDelicious, fresh, classic Burgundy nose of truffle/damp soil with sous bois, tea spice, animal fur, etc. Cherry and orange top note that provides a juicy, fresh feel, though the midpalate is a bit lean at this point, especially for the vintage. More about the aromatics at this point. Easily 92 points on the nose but the fruit is drying out a tad. YUM. 91-92. |

7/29/2017 - oldwines Likes this wine: 93 pointsFully mature, but wonderfully so. Decanted at 6pm and drunk through 8pm. Best at around 7:30. Corral brown/crimson in color with extremely earthy, cedary and gamey aromas. Elegant on the tongue like a ballet dancer yet intensely flavored with roasted game meat, cedar, saddle leather and cherry. Very long aftertaste. On its last legs but so, so enjoyable. |

11/25/2012 - ericindc wrote: 92 pointsDefinitely some bottle variation at this age. Popped and poured at a dinner. It could have used 1/2 in a decanter. Similar to last notes, but had a eucalyptus note that never quite blew off. Still a good mature burgundy and great for a village wine. Hope the next 4 are are good as the last 2. |

3/14/2013 - grayfont Likes this wine: NRStill loving this, and still magical on the nose. Mushroom notes becoming more prominent on the palate. While still tremendous, this bottle is not showing quite as well as prior bottles over the past few years; no clue if this is due to bottle variation or the start of the wine's (amazingly delayed) decline. I wasn't planning to hold these much longer anyway - I'm moving my "drink by" date to 12/31/2013 with aim to check my last bottle at Thanksgiving of this year. 1 person found this helpful, do you? 5/29/2015 - ericindc Likes this wine: 93 pointsSlightly better than last bottle. Solidly mature with nice bricking, great earthy/funky nose red fruited nose, and a solid taste of red fruits, leather, earth, light bitterness and a light drying. Medium body, good acidity, tannins pretty much fully integrated. Should be ok for a few more years. |

Light, easy to drink and a perfect match for something a tad rustic to eat. All pleasure - not cerebral. I enjoy this more than the score indicates. (88) |

Slight funk in the process of blowing off when poured, some leather, mushroom, muted cherry candy notes, thyme. Simply stunning in it's balance and poise. With the duck, beyond words. One of the top food and wine combos of my life. Many thanks to Kenneth for contributing this. |

Very profound and subtle. Lengthy finish. Made the 'burgundian' Drouhin 'Laurene' Oregon pinot seem obstinately new world and one dimensional. Superb with sautéed duck breast. |
