Medium-deep lemon, almost gold color. Pronounced aromatic and flavor intensity. M+/H acid, rounded. M/M+ finish. M+ body with light beeswax texture. Oak fermentation and aging (below) is prominent though well-integrated, and possibly just a little bit of tannin is imparted from the oak. Very good, and outstanding if just a touch more complexity and/or longer finish. 72% Sauvignon Blanc, 28% Sémillon. "Alcoholic fermentation at 16.5° in barrels (50% new and 50% used once previously)." Maturation: "100% of the production in French oak barrels with mild toast (50% new and 50% used once previously). Over fine lees, with stirring, during 8 months." |
