The fascinating part was that it had these very luscious refined red berries on the nose, but very funky wild brambly dark berries on the palate, in addition to being slightly charred and having a lovely spice element. Plus deep plum, some cherry, cola and a great deal of depth, with fairly good volume. Overall delicious and a very sexy wine. |

It was a little jammy at first, but opened with air and the previous tasting notes are spot on - Redwoods, mushrooms, tree sap. This is the foresty side of the Sonoma Coast. Makes me think of Occidental and the redwood forests surrounding the town. Perfect pairing for roast chicken with mushrooms and chive oil. |

Palate of Strawberry/ rhubarb hints of black raspberry, finishing with tart minerality. Try with Foie Gras confit if your politicians haven’t banned it or Blanquette de Veau. May need a couple more years to flesh out further. 2018 seemed more giving at this point 4 years on. Purchased vineyard direct upon release and stored accordingly...Na zdrowie |

Clean mountain air with a hint of pit smoker is a perfect descriptor, even now. For my palette, this is a lovely mature coastal syrah - it's much lighter bodied than you would think, but the finish is long and wonderful. I am writing this on Day 2, but when I woke up this morning, I could still taste that lovely meaty syrah. This is great winemaking! |

Lite and elegant on palate, terroir, baking spice, cinnamon mixed with rich soil. Gentle structure with balancing acidity, hints of salinity, Very clean and pure. English Hill always shows a bit of autumn leaves, crushed walnut shells which is intriguing. Purchased upon release winery direct and stored accordingly.
