As a group we greatly preferred the Barolo, and this wine may have suffered in comparrison. On its own, I think we would have liked it more. |

Held up well to leg of lamb. Can't believe this will get any better. Drink it now if you have it. |

On the palate notes of tar, licorice and a rusty iron accent become evident, all supported by medium tannins and just the right amount of acidity.
