4/21/2024 - Rodenbach99 Likes this wine: 90 pointsUne robe mauve foncé opaque. (87 jour 1, 90 jour 2) |

4/14/2024 - henry_chinaski wrote: 90 pointsThis wine only garnered 90 points on the second day after opening. On the first day, after opening and decanting for a couple hours, the wine was undrinkable. It was disjointed, thin, and a bit acrid. After a couple sips I poured the wine back in the bottle and corked it. |

4/2/2024 - ftsai71@gmail.com Likes this wine: 93 pointsWe always enjoy this wine. It has that honeysuckle, floral flavors but with some nice acidity that tastes almost like a sauvignon blanc. We had it with some spicy food and it paired well. |

3/5/2024 - Charlie C wrote: 83 pointsCherry red with fading at the edges. Plums and cherries on the nose. Rich and precise on the palate with a bit of harshness. Roast meats, cherry, blackberry. Tannins are a bit harsh. Good acidity and balance. Finishes long and sharp. Still alive but it's seen better days. Drink up. |

This wine was completely uneventful, easy drinking, a bit dull. The scores here make no sense, nor does the $45 price paid and $90 from the winery. Hard pass. |

2/16/2024 - hotrawd Likes this wine: 93 pointsI recently bought this one for $65 from a liquor store that used to be higher end. It was very dusty. I was nervous about it, and the cork mostly disintegrated when I opened it. After I filtered out all the pieces of cork, the wine actually ended up being very good. It still had a lot of red fruit and some dusty tannins. There was just the slightest hint of vinegar on it so I certainly wouldn't wait any longer to open it if you still have some. |

1/20/2024 - screwtop12 Likes this wine: 93 pointsReally liked this wine. We opened a bottle trying to figure out if we wanted to get a couple more bottles. This wine is going to get better with some additional time but really enjoyed it with our smoked beef brisket. Opened it and gave it a good three hours to breath. Immediately could smell the black fruit emanating from the wine. There was blackberry, black plum, some raspberry, earthiness like potting soil and possibly some mushroom. The rich deep ruby wine also made it's high alcohol known before even tasting it. There was also a herbal or vegetal tone to it that I can't quite put my finger on. There is definitely some complexity to this wine that keeps coming back to you. The wine was excellent with a lots of body and high alcohol. It really went well with the brisket with a medium finish. Have another bottle and will probably get some more with the intention of storing and drinking in the future. |

12/21/2023 - KyleRees wrote: NRThe Jeff Cohn Cellars Pure Yum 2018, blending 67% Syrah with 33% Grenache from Sonoma County, showcases a distinctive profile. Aromatically, it is rich with diverse berry notes, including cherry, blueberry, and prominent red berries, intertwined with a subtle vanilla undertone. These aromas suggest a delightful mix of tart and sweet elements, enhanced by a hint of baking spices. |

12/10/2023 - ftsai71@gmail.com Likes this wine: 90 pointsHad this again with friends. It’s rich and has a Chardonnay quality rich, without much acidity. It has a honeysuckle flavor and tasted sweet to some of the people. It actually paired well with spicy food though not something you wanted to have a lot of by itself. |

11/3/2023 - RJ&JJ Likes this wine: 95 pointsOkay, I need to rejoin Jeff's wine club. This is a beautiful expression of Sonoma County Syrah. It is drinking extremely well right now, right out of the bottle. Big, luscious, great mouthfeel, incredibly well balanced. Even my wife, who is not a fan of the Rhone varietals, loved it. If you got one, now is the time to crack it open. |

5/10/2020 - jtsejersen@gmail.com Does not like this wine: 80 pointsRich and deep nose of sweet, dark and red fruit. Savory notes of pepper and dried herbs. Normally I don’t really like Zinfandel because of the jammyness and sweetness that often goes hand in hand with this varietal. This wine however seems more “vinous” and without all the fake candy fruit. Still, I have to say I’m rather disappointed by this wine. Heavily overpriced and overrated. Very powerful and out of balance. The savory notes overshadows the fruit and the alcohol feels like fire in my chest... |
