2012 Burgundy at Noizé (Noizé, London): This has a subtle, lightly floral nose with strawberry fruit. Gently aromatic. Medium bodied, strawberry fruit, lovely mouthfeel with silky tannins, fresh acids, finishes harmoniously with a sneaky length.

Nick A's 2012 Burgundy Horizontal (Table A) (Noizé, London): Dark frutied with some underbrush and a few hints of citrus in the margins. With air a little minty plum fruit comes to the fore and just a touch of butterscotch. Palate is taut, rich and slightly peppered. Savoury cool and long with just a touch of quince jelly on the last sip.

Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): Alongside the 2007. Rich and bright at the same time, clearly more conventionally Chablis than the 2007. Good depth with a long, bright finish, nicely layered.

Plenty of apple and lemon throughout, some faint earth but still so bright for its age and level. Blair's best vintage ever for this wine.

Opened an hour before serving, then enjoyed over three+ hours. Plenty of ripe red cherries, both faintly sweet and very savory with a trace of roasted meat. Not the most complex Morey 1er Cru, but well balanced and persistent with good+ weight and depth. At a good place now, with some possible further upside. Good for another decade+.

Found another bottle! PNP coravin. Thoroughly enjoyable, dense, moderately fat, good salinity and minerality, hardly any feeling of wood. Wonderful Chardonnay

So much chablis from this house has gone straight down the sink. Not today! Golden colour. On the nose - lemon cream, breathe deep and there's a hint of incense. On the palate - rich, lovely acidity, again some lemon and candied lemon. Yum.

Straw yellow; fresh nose, citrus; nice acidic attack, medium body with a long aftertaste, however, with few nuances, appears a bit “rough” but still have some elegance; sort of “in-between”, nice but not outstanding

2/6, vg cork.
Pale/medium garnet core, pale rim. Fragrant, aromatic nose - raspberries, florals but also some soily/minerally complexity. Light/medium bodied, soft, almost weightless, raspberries again, spice, soil - fine tannins now much more integrated, not hugely deep but finishes well carried by vibrant acidity, with a touch of grippy tannin on the end. Lovely, now drinking well.

One last round at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): Really miss Blair Pethel's wines -- they were always so honest and forthright and this bottle, which has held up very well, is no exception. Minerally and just a tad fat the way Meursault ought to be, especially in a vintage that might not be like that. Elegant with none of the unnecessary modernist reduction; just really honest, straightforward chardonnay, as it is meant to be.

The best of what 2013 can show, with the sweetness totally softened and harmonized into a seemingly rich package, though clearly mature. Fun and layered now, good for the next 2-5 years in 750.

He was right! Blair’s wine went really well with our sukiyaki tonight.

Bought at the domaine in 2016 during a visit.
Elegant, mineral and relatively high acidity. Was matched up against Bomneau du Martray 2007and 2018 Corton Charly, where it was slightly outperformed, but none the less a good wine perhaps lacking a bit of complexity and depth compared to the other two.
Will continue to develop and put on weight but the wine drinks nice and open now.
