Burg Trip Reunion Dinner (Oak Brook, IL): Lots of red berries with some apple skin hints. Rounded, soft textures. Good overall, but a slightly sweet note on the finish that didn't thrill me.

A very attractive, light, but expressive rose. Some depth of fruit served it well with aperitifs. Persistent, very fine bead. Delicate but with character. Holding well; no rush to drink.

Excellent, drinking very well right now with no sign that it is fading. Coral pink color with exceptionally long lasting fine bubbles. Very nice acid balance. A slight notch up from Moet's NV Rose Imperial. Very nice, and perfect for summer. I wish I had a few more bottles.

Lovely mature flavors on the nose and palate but maybe missing a little freshness/acidity. Fine soft bubbles. This is surely a food champagne, which will pair beautifully with grilled salmon og white meats. I think this wine is at its peak - enjoy now! Wish I had more...

This full bodied champagne is drinking nicely now. Has not improved since I last had it about a year ago though. It`s quite rich and decadent this one, but nicely balanced with good acidity and nerve. Not the most complex or elegant, but perhaps something of a diva?

Lovely salmon and copper colour, fine mousse; the open and aromatic nose displays bittersweet orange fruit, undergrowth, pain d'épices, good depth and richness; the palate is rich but dry, with ripe and slightly soft acidity, yeasty flavours, fully mature, lacks a bit of cut and energy on the finish, noticeable bitters; good length. Still a lovely wine but drink up.

Strawberry, raspberry on the nose and palate. A bit of flab, but enough acid to carry it through. Nice aftertaste, decent finish. Needs at least 90 minutes of air to come into its own.

For the second time in 6 months I am completely lost in the Grand Vintage 2002, only this time it's the Rosé that excels. What an exquisite, lovely wine. Not as immensely concentrated as the Bollinger GA 2002 Rosé, or as intoxicating as the Vilmart Rubis 2002, but intense, thrilling, multilayered and exceptinally well-balanced this is a truly wonderful Rosé. Blood-orange, slight whiff of oriental spices, mineral aftertaste. Pure and surprisingly multifaceted, this is a wine that has absolutely no touch of multimillion Euro industry to it. Quite simply a beautiful handcrafted rosé. Can't help being impressed by that. Lovely! It has to be said though, that in my 3 bottle-experience there seems to be quite some bottlevariation, even within the same lots. (92-94 pts)

I completely agree with seth rosenberg's tasting review. This is more than disappointing. Aggressive, wild bubbles...very green and bitter...soapy...unbelievable bad quality for this house and this vintage...not even talking about the price...this is a no go...

Crush's Annual Champagne Gala 2012: Quick note (18 wines in an hour). Medium pink-orange. Shy on the nose with tart and bitter berry and soap. Palate has tart berry again and steel. Not impressive at all. Nose - 4/6, Palate - 3/6, Finish - 3/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 0/2 = 10/20.

Popped and served very chilled. Med rose tone color w/very nice long and tiny bubble stream. The wine drank clean & fresh but rather light in body. Med/short finish w/ decent fruit. I like them a little bigger but nothing off.

Led by strawberries, powerful and full-flavoured. Rounds out nicely to a dry, fresh finish. The creaminess of the chardonnay emerges very slightly after the strawberries disappear. Really enjoyable and decent. www.fortheloveofchampagne.blogspot.com

Pale pink color. Fine mousse. Aromas of sweet brioche, yeast, and stone fruit. Elegantly structured on the palate with ripe apple and cherry, backed with slate and subtle notes of buttered toast. Creamy rich mouthfeel, great presence but very light. A long breathy finish. One you keep coming back for. A true pleasure to drink...

France 2011 - Champagne; 7/4/2011-7/5/2011 (Reims): Tasted at Moet & Chandon in Epernay. Opened and served right away. Light pink/salmon in colour. At first this was quite muted on the nose but after some coaxing beautiful notes of red berry fruits, toasty dough, mandarin orange and hints of spice. This offers a richer palate than the Grand Vintage blanc with a softer mousse and flavours of red berries, spice and toast. Slightly less acidity here than the blanc but perhaps a little bit longer of a finish. This also needs 3-5 years before trying again and should improve for 10-15+ years. Hard to pick a favorite between the blanc and this rose. Excellent. 90+
