@ Manhatta NYC. For me close 2nd best WOTN - noticeably bigger and fleshier than the younger 1ers around it. Smells like the forest floor after rain. Taste reminds me of golden raisins, in a good way. 30-45 second perfumed finish. This feels like it's at peak.

Gorgeous from first pour. But I think I erred in that she was given a 5 hour double decant which wasn’t needed as some of the spice snd energy from the first sop was lost. Amend for the next bottle. Very calm and resolved already, possibly at peak.

A seductive, deep and dense nose of red and black cherries. So much Grand Cru concentrated fruit that is pure deliciousness with unreal power in a refined, silky, and juicy frame. Uber impressive 2003 with upside from here.

A Birthday / Burgundy Dinner (The Bristol): I haven't had this wine in almost 7 years and tonight it was better than ever before, another fantastic Jadot 2003. Intense black cherry aromas, reticent to start, robust after 10 minutes in glass. Subtle spice also to start, this expanded as well with more air. Both red and black cherry flavors, clearly ripe yet balanced and elegant. Marvelously tasty with great richness, yet very bright textures, particularly on its very long finish. Thank you, Winefool!

in one word...brilliant! Prior bottle I opened earlier this year was a little closed but this effort was open for business. Characteristically Musigny in character but with the ripeness from the 2003 vintage showing a richness of dark blackcurrant and blackberries. Forever long and persistent. Tannins resolved. Lucky I have one bottle left.

Heidi's Redux: More Heavy Hitters (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Medium dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour plus. I tend to agree with Chablis28 here. This wasn't really in a giving place, though it did improve with air. Dark fruit that gets lost in the alcohol and glycerin initially. This does get better a good half hour in and starts to settle down. The darker fruit then comes forward and there is a depth to the mineral notes as well. Lots of structure here too that will likely benefit from some time.

Very good but came off as very youthful and primary. Musigny can be very elegant even in its youth but seems to require 20+yrs to mature and show tertiary elements. Jadot reds too can be very ungiving for a long time. Not hitting home with me in a big way, yet. A bit overshadowed by some other ready to sing btls tonight. Right now 91pts for me. I want to drink this wine somewhere around 2025.

For me this was WOTN drunk along with a 03 Gros Musigni and 03 Vogue Premier Cru. Definitely showed it class. Compared to others in this hot vintage, wasn't over the top ripe, but showed great balance. Took a while to unwind, and the masculine tannins were evident. With more time, suspect this may be excellent and perhaps a few more points.

Slowly breathed in glass, medium ruby in color, nose has plenty of spice and voilet floral aroma. High level of extraction on palate, fine acidity with some fruits sweetness, light hint of bitterness with smooth tannin. Long finish with a hawthorn aroma lingering. Seeems a better bt the the one tasted a year ago.

Bt decanted for 3 hrs, deep crimson with aroma of tea leaves, red fruits. On palate, first impression is the high level of extraction that coats your mouth with plenty of fruits and lightly dusty tannin. Ample acidity but lack fruit sweetness to provide finesse, overall more muscular than what I adore in a Le Musigny. Also in a different category when compared with those from Mugnier.

Wine with Friends (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Lush and forward black fruit that comes across very ripe to start, but saline and spice elements emerge nicely on palate, then some elongating structure helps provide backbone, length and nuance.

New Year at Bristol w/Jadots (The Bristol, Chicago): 2003 Jadot Musigny Rich red spice, nice dark ripe aromas. Long dense sweet, good spicy long. Impressive bit mono in flavors, but so very nice, if tad primary. Chewy texture with floral edge likely from dry stems. Nice. Lengthy finish. 94 with some upside if it develops more nuance.

Jadot Dinner with Friends (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Ultra ripe plum and blackberry aromas with big, fat spice. Lush and forward fruit on palate, similarly dark fruit, coming across as fat and almost slutty to start, but more balanced and well textured from middle to finish. This had been open approx 3 hours, of which perhaps 1/2 hour was in decanter.

Shows none of the 03 characteristics of overripeness. Very powerful Musigny, and ready to go with some air.
