Drinking very well -- maybe near the end of the window, as noted on the Tablas Creek wine chart -- sense of melon with full mouth feel, weak acid, nicely pairs with food

Fairly shy at first, this took a while to wake up in the decanter. Even then - on it's own - it remained quiet and a little soft with melon, citrus and tropical fruits. Paired with Moroccan spiced halibut, however, this was the perfect thing. That softness allowed it to spread out a bit and support the food, becoming rounder and fuller as the two played off each other. Tasty.

Golden yellow on the eye. Maybe a bit of citrus on the nose;I like, but cannot attach words or images to what is going on with the aroma or the palate in the larger sense. Pleasant mouthfeel and finish, though.

Lighter than most renditions and not particularly complex, shorter finishe, but a nice wine with a pretty subtle nose and some mineralogy and nice acidity

Light yellow color. Notes of melon and flowers on the nose. Pretty viscous wine (almost oily), no fruit characteristics, but good minerality and acid. Medium finish.

The more I taste (and blend with Marsanne) the more I believe its almost always better blended than stand alone. If anyone can change this, it would be Neil and Tablas Creek.
This Marsanne has more elegance than you normally find. Honeydew and peach on nose. Nice texture, subtle liushness in mouth. I'd like more acid, but thats not what Marsanne is about. I suspect this would pair well with seafood, but am sipping sans shellfish. Finish that lingers on the tongue with honeyed note, but not sweet.
Well done and bravo for this rare beast. Even though Marsanne excels blended, its valuable for consumers to taste the individual components, and since of many blending trials aren't something you get to experience, tasting single varietals and the role they play is a great way!

Minty, spicy, citrus blossom and honeyed nose, with flavors of saline, nectarine, and mineral, a creamy mid-weight texture and a long, clean, limestone-enriched finish. (from winery)

Tasting room pour. Green apples with tropical flavors of coconut cream and minerals infused with pina colada. Low acidity. The fine oily texture and creamy minerality really stand out, while the fruit plays out in the background. Interesting and unique.

From the winemaker: A minty, spicy, citrus blossom and honeyed nose, with flavors of saline, nectarine and mineral, a creamy mid-weight texture and a long, clean, limestone-enriched finish. Should be a sublime pairing with baked scallops or mussels marinieres. Drink over the next five years.

Recently bottled. A plump style of wine with shy flavors of honey dew, tropical fruits, and coconut with lots of minerality. Very creamy texture with the saline minerality really driving this.

Tablas Creek Annual Blending Seminar (Tablas Creek Cellar): Barrel sample. Nose: green melon. Palate: Fat, tropical fruits with a touch of coconut? Very horizontal on palate with -acidity. There was talk of producing a single varietal with this. The ladies at the table loved this.

Full mouth, subtle cantaloupe and spent tea leaf. A bit flabby, perhaps drunk too chilled.

The bouquet smells of pair, green apple, and grass. The pallet tastes of apple pie, and has very faint sweetness. Overall this is a good wine.
