Matter of Taste Zurich, Grand Walkaround Tour. Nicely refined and elegant aroma profile with great precision. Unfortunately oily and flat on the palate.

Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (The Landmark, London): Apricot, orange and mandarin marmalade, sweet spice, very slightly gamey. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, mandarin & orange marmalade, apricot, textured. Nice.

Ready to drink, medium-bodied, lighter-styled sweet wine focusing on its orange, vanilla, ripe, bright, honeyed pineapple core of fruits. This is going to best over the next few years.

About the same as my first bottle. Ok and is sure to impress most people that are not fimiliar with what a good Sauternes should taste like. Cheap so I guess, for the price, it is a good value. Would not buy again.

On the nose orange zest, floral notes, dried fruit. Certainly well balanced, but lacking a bit of drive and energy. Good acidity, spicy, fine length. 88-90

A stylistic departure from what I think of when I think of Sauternes. Light on its feet and less intense.

Sauternes 2010 (and reference vintages) at Le Week-end des Grand Crus (Bordeaux): Nose: honey, botrytis, citrus, flowery, some spice, elegant.
Palate: sweet, good concentration, spice, good acidity.
Summary: a bit more elegany and slightly higher acidity than the 2009 Bastor-Lamontagne. Approachable now, 92 p.

Great citrussy freshness on the palate but the finish is a bit too sugary/fat for me.
