This is a throwback Auslese, with a modern spatlese weight, yet rich with tropical notes and ripe peaches. There is a hint of pineapple and mango toward the back, but the mineral nature of the wine keeps it fresh. Quite impressive!

Tasted at the winery. Rich layers of ripe yellow peach, apricot, raisins, dried figs, and honey, well-balanced by a strong acidic backbone. This wine is dense and silky, leaving no part of the palate unexposed, producing a very long finish.

Hard to saying anything more than "liquid gold" when tasting an auslese Riesling of this quality. Rich, sweet, layers of peach, pear, apricots, and luscious fruit that would be over the top if not balanced by the laser beam of acids and secondary complexities. Every time I have Riesling of this quality I question my lack of them in my cellar.

Spectacular Riesling, that held its own, and might have stolen the show (it certainly did in QPR), when tasted alongside quality Meursault and Chablis. It represents the finest qualities of M-S-R Riesling, offering exceptional texture and perfect sweetness balanced by medium plus to high acid. The wine should last for another two decades, or more. 95-96!

This is not a dessert style sweet wine. This is a very refreshing and extremely delicious wine with lots of acidity that perfectly balances the sweetness. A huge eye opener for me with regards to sweet wine.

Compared to the 2013 there is less, but sufficient acidity on the palate, so this seems a lot sweeter with great depth of flavours and impressive length. Excellent. 93-94

Wow, what a Riesling of the Ruwer area again: only 8,5% alc., strong vibrating acidity, prickling! stonefruits, very, very mineralic, fine elegant stuff, super long, as all wines from this vintage of the Ruwer: amazing!92- 94

Pale lemon yellow with an ozone filled, mineralic nose. The palate is fresh but viscous and dense with zingy lemon and lime fruit and crunchy green apple.

Delicious wine! Loads of mineral ores, piercing acidity, perfect sweetness, excellent balance. Intensely honeyed, with steely overtones. Lively, vibrant, and refreshing. Thanks for sharing ES. 93-94.
