Not very smart to drink this after the '82 NSG. This tasted a lot more tannic and felt like it needed integration time. A good hour in the decanter should have done the trick but we drank it too quick. Red fruited nose, bright and grippy on the palate, with floral undertones and sap on the dry palate. Finish is of mid length.

Red berries, sap, dried flowers, and a mineral core. Medium body, with a silky richness—great texture. Medium-low tannin still have nice grip through the finish. Medium-plus acid. A better, more youthful bottle than a couple of other recent ones, with only a bit of tertiary notes.

Surprisingly tight when first opened though blossomed nicely and put on weight over the next several hours. Pure berry fruit with lots of minerality and sap.

Crunchy berry and herbal notes, some sap and forest, but mostly bright red fruit and a backbone of minerality. This bottle seemed less floral on the nose and more advanced than I expected from my bottles three years ago so will wait to see what next couple of bottles hold in store.

Yeah, this is exactly how I like my Burgundy. Really bright, crystalline red fruit, stony minerality underneath, and gentle floral and other earthy notes that emerge on the nose. Still some tannic grip on the palate, but so good with a couple of hours of air. Why did I not buy more of these on release.

Even though I know better, I just can't keep my hands off these bottles because they are so good now. Beautiful florals on the nose match the softness on the palate. Earthy, mineral, sap, crunchy tannin, lasting acidity. This is not a life-changing wine, but I'm not sure one can find this much consistent quality and joy in another bottle of Burgundy under $30!

Fairly consistent with previous notes. Even though I really should give these another couple of years at least, they are hard not to drink now. This bottle was a bit more backward, with the tannin a bit green and harsh through the finish, and the fruit hiding beneath the minerality and structure. Hold.

Beautiful wine, with nice florals on the nose and crunchy red fruit with loads of minerality on the palate. Well structured, but drinking just fine now with a bit of air. Very pretty, but serious, with lasting acidity and chewy tannin that are a bit green and dominant on the finish. Drink now or hold for at least a few more years.

Had two bottles with consistent impressions. Very pretty crunchy cherry with mineral backbone and nice acidity. Pretty wine and already drinking very well.

Chambolle-like floral elegance, but with a bit more of a backbone. Red fruit and minerals with great acidity, medium tannin, and a bitter tannic finish showing that this has the structure to age for several more years. Beautiful now, but give it a bit of air first.

Nose is somewhat closed with floral notes; light, pleasant, some substance but not particularly long lived, hints of the ethereal but certainly not transcendent and ultimately somewhat simple

I thought that I would check in to see the development of what I expected to be a young, not-yet-ready wine. Wow! This is absolutely ready now (though with a couple more years of life at least). Floral and red fruit aromatics. On the palate, elegant red fruit and minerality. Light sourness, nice acidity, and very fine tannin that provide a nice backbone. Not a huge amount of complexity, but a beautiful wine.

Glad this wine doesn't receive more hype. Currently the nose is a touch oaky but it frames beautiful red fruit. Pretty linear right now as to be expected but this is extremely promising.

I can't improve on Salil's series of notes. This wine now is very elegant, more about texture and balance than fruit. Will be interesting to see where it goes with time if - as Salil warns - I can keep any in my cellar.

I enjoyed this less than my previous bottle. It was a little hot / disjointed on the finish and just a little more mute on the palate. Still a great wine with lots of potential.

A wine that demonstrates burgundy can deliver tremendous value for the money. Very open right now. Lots of crunchy red fruit and minerality. Medium body and just delicious - not a wine for spitting. Great value.

Consistent with my prior bottles of this, drinking superbly with a little air with layers of red fruit, earth, stony mineral elements and higher toned floral notes all coming together seamlessly on a polished, medium weight frame.

Another great bottle of this, and it's getting hard to keep my hands off this wine, given how well it's drinking now. Incredibly fresh, vibrant and pure red fruited flavours over a mineral base with gentle herbal and floral accents emerging with more air. Really fragrant, polished and all too easy to drink now.

Very much like the last bottle I had. Pure, stony, fresh and very elegant with bright acids keeping it very refreshing and lively, and just a little tannic firmness on the back end that eases with air.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting. Ripe red and black fruit aromas, flavors. Very good overall for its level and an impressive value wine. Charming now but with enough firmness and structure to improve over the next few years, then be tasty into the next decade.

Fantastic. Fragrant, elegant and silken-textured with a core of fresh, sappy red fruits framed by gentle earthy, mineral and faint herbal elements. It's not the most complex wine right now, but there's such a sense of purity and impeccable balance here that a bottle disappears very quickly over dinner. What a great value.

Medium ruby color. Some violet and berry on the nose, but muted. Palate with strawberry, cherry, mineral, earth and a slight dusty element. Medium finish. Very solid, but I've had other 2010 Burgundy at this price point I would seek out first.

(Barrel sample) Well, this will turn into another excellent vintage for Clos de la Croix de Pierre. All the familiar gravelly mineral elements are here, on a body that's already fleshy and full with a vibrant fruit personality.
