No detailed notes- brought to a dinner and the wine was in a stellar place. Nice soft entry, good fruit and herbal balance. WV sweet cherry Pinot that is showing well. I’d be more inclined to drinking these in the near term now.

Flashy and ripe at first but with time in the decanter it calmed down. Nice stem inclusion notes a touch of herbs and savory elements. Drinking great right now.

Black cherry and sassafras on the nose. The palate brings deep, rich pithy cherries and forest floor, there is fruit, soil, and acid in generous balance. Tannins are nicely integrated, providing a velvety texture while the acid is present mid palate and along the gum line. Finishes with echoes of the fruit, soil and some green herbal notes. Rich and viscous, ten years on this wine is still powering forward in a broad, muscular and fully fruited way. Drink and hold for perhaps another... 5 years?

Pale ruby color, beautiful nose of rose petals and spice. In the mouth it attacks with a effervescent bright red fruit. The mouthfeel makes me wonder if we are having some secondary fermentation, but the color is good, the clarity is good and there is no funk. Finishes with the hint of fruit that outlives the acid, almost tricking you into thinking it's sweet. Later as the bottle got more air, the frizzante faded and the wine became really wonderful. Highly recommend this interesting and tasty wine.

Home with Valerie, in the mood for Pinot, good excuse to check in on this one. PnP, drank over about 90 minutes
Prior notes: "Medium red/garnet color. Generally tight when it was opened. Nose of dark/blue fruits, blueberry, savory, baking spice and earth. palate was dark fruits, cherry cola, plums, smoke, pepper. Medium, creamy finish."
This bottle, a bit more vivid in color (from memory) than last one, mild seperation. Nose was bright red fruits, floral notes/potpourri. Palate showing raspberry, cherry, orange zest. Picked up some caramel through the mid palate. Silky texture and long finish
Energetic and nicely balanced wine, got better with air time. Still youthful at 7 years, should last a while from here. Cellaring has benefited this wine, its added some nuance since last bottle. Great stiff from Antica Terra

almost a cherry red color, very unusual in a good way, shimmers in the glass. Has deep fruit concentration on the nose, deeper than most Dundee wines, nice balance and long finish that lingers in your mouth. A great wine. Still a lot of fruit, even after 7 years. Could last many more but sadly was my last bottle. The wine has become more expensive since I bought this and at the latest prices, probably not worth replacing.

Popped and poured. Very similar to another bottle from almost a year ago, perhaps with slightly better new oak integration. Best when first poured, less bright and exciting 90 minutes later.

Pop and pour. On the heels of several Rutherford cabs, this was a splash of fun on the palate. Very Burgundian in profile. Great funk and balanced acidity. If I could find more of this at $40, I would accumulate in volume.

Floral beginning with lots of baking spice and signs of some new oak not fully absorbed. Ripe red and black berry aromas and flavors, slightly sweet and just shy of seeming jammy. Palate is bolstered by enough structure to retain freshness and energy. Drink up.

Slightly muted nose of cherries w/some red raspberry and caramel. Noticeable but well integrated tannins on the structured palate of black cherry and light red raspberry jam. Decent and somewhat complex finish. A bit pricey.

Medium red, clear. Big nose of strawberry, blueberry, black pepper, sweet cherry. Moderate tannins and moderate acidity. Loads of black fruit, pepper, umami, toast. Long finish. A great wine, but could stand to tone down the oak some.

A little more open than the prior bottles, but still with an acidic edge that is a little distracting, though it gives it a much needed lift compared to '09. Darker fruit profile, with cherry and slightly cola flavors. With air takes on a rounder feel that coats the palate. Creamy finish. A nice crowd pleasing wine, wish there was a little more depth at this price range.

Followed over 2 nights. On night one the acidity was a little sharp but the wine opened up nicely on night 2. Sweet cherry, hint of cola, and meat on the nose and palate. Rather round after the acidity calmed round, with a dark fruit profile for OR pinot, finishes with a creamy earth laden finish. Good, but in a broad shouldered/bigger fruit style that I personally seem to be gravitating away from. Only the slightest hint of heat. Much prefered to the '09. 89-90

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity and silky tannins. The feel is very polished and sexy with silky tones of dark red cherries, baking spices, raspberries, and some whole cluster notes.
Overall: This is a gorgeous pinot. It's certainly on the young side, but is extremely pretty right now. I'd love to see where this goes with time.

Rotating Dinner Series - 2010 Oregon Pinot Noir (Single Blind) (Aquitaine - Chicago, IL): Tasted blindly. Had a very lush, but cool fruit profile that really appealed to me. The balance of fruit, earth, florals and minerals were perfectly aligned to my palate. Great overall balance, and the group's consensus, "this most tastes like a Burgundy" wine. Brilliant stuff.

Completely shocked by her. Tricked by her herby and enticing raspberry & strawberry scent at the beginning, elegant and high acidity, oakish but light weighted, brought me back to the feeling on my first 2005 Les Chaumes which made me love wine. Now I'm in 2016, rewriting this note based on my original note. Even after delving into Pinot Noir for three more years and having many more bottles of same style, from assorted similar or different growth regions including Romanee crus Oregon and Napa etc., I still always remember the shocking moment when I touch her. Interestingly, similar to many Romanee clones or "tricks", air contact unveiled her new-world identity. On palate it doesn't feel that Burgundy-ish or Romanee-ish. The fruity component and signature plume flavor clearly speaks that she's not from France.

Big plush style. Nose of black cherry and cola. Palate is smooth and lush, with a dark fruit profile. While there is plenty of acidity, this is missing the vibrant spine of acidity of many other '10's. Creamy lush finish. Somewhat Californian fruit profile and mouthfeel, but good enough for the style.

Nose of extremely bright cherries and a hint of leather. Toasty cherries, slight oak and spice on the palate. Slightly acidic at first. Has a nice density to it. Lots of upward potential as it ages.

Expressive aromas of black cherry and raspberry, savory spices and bitter herbs. Oak frames the similar flavors. Subtle tannins or maybe the oak has this a bit clenched. With time, the wine opens, gains depth and breadth and the oak integrates some. This is nicely balanced, even with the oak. I like this as it has interesting flavors. It's nothing profound, but this is worth following. I'll buy more.

Popped and poured. Rather dark for a 2010 from Oregon. Nice nose of roasted beets, tangy fruit and a hint of spice. On the palate this wine is simply stunning - perfectly balanced and fresh with a persistence of fruit that is revelatory. This hits all my inot noir buttons and I look forward to tasting where it goes from here.
