A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Rhone blend, with blackberry, raspberry, coffee and spice on finish, a bit past peak, drink now. www.winelx.com

Clearly in a peak window showing its CndP heritage - nice blend with floral and minty aromas with a palate of black raspberry and cassis, thyme, anise, and smoky earthiness on a soft if somewhat short finish. Solid value for library selection at $25 via WL's winetext.

Aroma loaded with fruit along with some herbal notes. Palette picks up spice and cracked pepper immediately with the fruit tagging along well. Medium tannic structure, fairly smoothed out now. Finish is nice, not long. A very nice wine for the price and it is the kind you can drink regularly rather than a special occasion wine. I think it has some life left even if it doesn't get any better, it is good enough to enjoy with dinner.

2010 Rasa QED red- no decant. Actually impressive nose of perfume, assortment of flowers. Palate is..... not there. Not sure I have a better description. No finish. Tastes diluted. The nose was so good, it actually prepares your palate for something more robust. Thus making the actual palate such a let down. I have to agree with others who have commented on this wine likely passing it’s prime. 6/10

Honestly a bit underwhelmed. Feels a bit past prime — soft and a bit unstructured, definitely beginning to verge on oxidized as far as flavors and aromas go. This has been impeccably cellared since purchase, but just hasn’t held up. I have another bottle left, so we will see if this was just some bottle variation.

Absolutely singing on day one in terms of being polished. The tannins are resolved, tertiary notes are just beginning and yet the dark fruits are still at the fore. Big and round with enough acid that days one and two have composure. Drink now.

I didn't take a lot of notes on this one, but over two days it was very good, definitely not over the hill, probably peaking. I really like Rasa's blends, they bring a lot of nuance to the wine.

Popped and poured. Riedel Syrah and zalto bord glasses. Wine much better after a few hours of air dissipating macerated grapey plum aromas and flavors. There seemed to be clove and black pepper in the wine that provided interest. Quite good if bought on one of Rasa’s fire sales.

In a great place at 10 years old! Black fruit, cracked pepper and notes of roasted beef. Quite smooth and slightly creamy in the mouth, no sharp edges...drinking very well. Drink now - 2025.

Such fond memories. Spices, floral notes, dark fruit, and a little coffee aroma waft easily from the glass. The palate echoes the nose, high acid and intense flavors in equal concentration, the tannins are barely perceptible on the tail of the moderately long finish that trails into some mild sweetness. In a great place, still no real tertiary development. Drink now for a nice primary wine, hold 2+ years for greater development.

In a good place right now, nice mix of vibrant fruit and secondary more rustic notes. Minimal heat. Recommend a decant and would not hesitate to let it rest for another year or two.

Opened 5 hours before drinking and kept cork in the bottle. It is drinking well. Nicely integrated, full-bodied, acidity is present, but in control. Dark umame flavors with noticeable Mourverde at 9%,which adds a brooding element. I bought it during one of their flash sales, so I think it's a great QPR at that price, yet it is still a reasonable one at the CT average price of $42. The CT window shows an end date of 2021, which seems a little long to me. I have one more and will probably drink in '18 or '19.

Inky dark ruby with roast pork, violets nose. Tart red medium fruit and body with well integrated chewy tannins. Nicely balanced with acid to the fore over the fruit of cherries and red plums, stone fruit tannins on the finish. 89pts on night one.

Oh yeah, much better than a year ago. Still a strong wine with some heat but the fruit has mellowed or integrated more with time in the bottle. I have one more, will wait another year or two on it.

Barnyard nose at first, berries second, and a medium finish in the end....with a decent structure throughout. Fruit trumps all, but given my love of syrah, that works for me. P.S. it's not often I downgrade a young wine on Day 2, but im doing it here. Minus 1. Didnt hold up.

Agree that this is a fruity wine, disagree that it is an unbalanced bomb or all that different from previous vintages. Full raspberry/blackberry palate saturation is followed by echoes of charcoal, tobacco, dark chocolate, tart black cherry, and molasses. Graceful or slick? You be the judge. Not all Rasa wines worth the tariff but this is a win for me. 91-92. Should hold its quality as it ages, drink or hold.

Yikes, a fruit bomb. At first nose was deep and complex but with a little air this gave way to pure fruit. Palate is syrup, sweet, not enough acid or depth. Loved the 2008 but this was disappointing. Have 2 more will give them a lot of time to see what happens.

Deep crimson in color. 14.9% ABV. Black fruits, tobacco, flowers and grilled meats on the nose. Great aromatics. Rich and full bodied with healthy acidity. Blackberries, black cherries, bacon fat and minerals on the palate. Seamless and well balanced. This wine has upside with additional years in the cellar. This wine is certainly well made but for my taste it never quite lives up to the reviews from the Wine Advocate, etc.

This is an outstanding, well made wine. Full bodied, dark purple, not too big a nose, wonderful mouth-feel. It is long on the palate and you can taste just a hint of oak. The 2010, as good as it is now, is still very young and needs at least two year to smooth out a bit of acidity and tannins. We also had the 2007 and 2008; the 2007 was superb and is a solid 93 points, while the 2008 has a bit more acidity, which made it perfect for a pasta dinner. QED is terrific with a good steak; as it says, "the proof is in the bottle!

Decanted for an hour then drank over the next two hours with filet mignon in a red wine sauce. Aroma is blackberry and plum with some black pepper. Taste is the dark fruit, and a decent bit acidic on the mid-palate. Some chocolate and tobacco notes in there too. This is pretty nice, but I think it will show better in a couple years.

This relatively new vintage is superb and I have just tasted it while young! Full bodied, beautiful purple color and a very rewarding nose, this is a wine to enjoy just by itself or with some nice food. Good tannins and long on the palate, I can visualize that this wine will be 95+ as soon as it has time to develop in the bottle. I hope that I am around to taste it!

I think this wine needs more time before it is ready. It wasn't bad, and it did get better after being opened a few hours, but it did not live up to its promise, at least not yet.
This wine is so good. It's great by itself and with food. I had it with chicken Romano and my husband had it with a meat pizza. Went well with both. It is very complex and many favors are going on in your mouth. We both loved this wine! The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.

Valentine's wine with my lovely wife. Obviously quite young, it was pretty tightly wound at opening and took 4 hours of air to start really coming together. Deep and rich with dark fruits with some meaty notes and a slightly herbal character. It's a powerful wine but everything is in balance and it simply makes me smile. Definitely going to improve over a few years, but I love the QED so bought enough that I could sample one young.
