A lot of charm here, the lady likes to dance. Light garnet in the glass, violet and red cherry with forest floor and a little anise on the nose, fruits continuing on the palate, soft tannins, light on acid, medium finish. Much lighter weight than many of the dull 2012 pinots have been, and faster on its feet. Not hot at all at 14.1 ABV. Great QPR, still selling for $22 in New Jersey. Probably at its peak now.

No doubt plenty of Russian River fruit and sugar represented but it's not a total bomb by any means and some patience is rewarded with a little nuance even. May be better in a year or so?

Not the style I am a fan of, i.e., too much new world sweetness, some savory flavors but too candied. That said, very drinkable, can't say I"m not enjoying it. Good acidity, some fungal savoriness. Just would like it a little more subtle.

Liking this a lot. Didn't want a 750 open and sitting so the 375 split of this wine worked great. Pretty ready to go, with a real depth of cherry and a licorice-like note and dark color. Plenty of energy and broad shoulders here for the last pour/glass tomorrow......so retasting a day later with a proper temp and stem this evening, with the slow ox air from y/day, these are my final comments. The aromatics on this are quite diverse and terrific, ranging some smoke, floral and dried red fruit, just a great mix of things I want in pinot noir. In terms of weight, seems medium weight and lending to more full, but it never crosses into that final tier. What keeps it centered for me is the presence of the red fruit and some of the licorice notes, with the same red fruit, some soil tones and then a brushing of vanilla and the same dried red fruit in the finish. This caught my attention last night, still tonight. This finds a way to express some leaner qualities, yet it's going to appeal to the CA fruit centric palate because it maintains those qualities. Very good, and I would recommend this to someone who asked me for a good CA pinot, one that would broadly satisfy. Well done, Adam.

The colour is dark for a Pinot, but still clear along the edge, like a Pinot. On the nose, much fruit, at least at first. On the palate, again much fruit; rich fruit. Big and juicy, at least at first; later it gets less intense and a little less pleasant. I didn't feel much by the way of tannins, so I personally wouldn't try to age this wine much. To produce this wine, the winery bought grapes from the most prestigious wineries in the Russian River Valley. This was apparently a much anticipated vintage for that reason. By the way, Siduri is the Babylonian goddess of wine. You may not worship this wine, but you will enjoy it! Overall value: 3.5 stars of 5. Overall impression: Very Good (86.5).

Really good... very different IMO from other RRV Pinots and Siduri's in particular... this has more focused savory notes. Licorice, anise, dark fruits but not overweight. Really good. Excellent QPR.

This was nothing special at all. I've recently had $10 bottles of 2012 Ca & Oregon pinot noir that were just as good if not better. At $25 this was not worth the price.

Darkish purple color, in the glass. On the palate this wine does capture the favored aspects of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Fruit forward with Bing cherry, a hint of berry, tea tannins, and pleasant earth aromas on the nose. The palate follows up with the cherry and spice a relatively pleasing finish. Overall, this is a decent effort, while this is new world pinot, there's sufficient structure and acid to bring the fruit to life. Thankfully, there was relatively little sweet cola on finish that mars many RRV pinots. I will keep my 2nd bottle for while.

Chicago Pinot Days (Navy Pier - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Slightly reductive start. Large black fruit on nose and palate. Forward, sweet, easy to enjoy while retaining balance.

California Wine Fair - Toronto, ON (Fairmont Royal York): Elegant and beautifully pure nose featuring soil, vegetation, cranberry and red currant. Pours very light in colour, seems to be on the less extracted side of things. Nose could easily be blinded as a good Volnay. Palate reveals some of it's California origins with notes of sweet ripe strawberry. Still fairly complex on the palate with a medium plus finish. Very nice.

This Siduri has aromas of sarsaparilla, raspberry, cherry and earth. The wine is very fruit forward, which you'll probably see a lot of in the 2012 vintage from California. Flavors of cherry, wild berry, boysenberry and a touch of earth glide over the palate. I get the tannin thing but not sure why that makes this a bad wine. Will be interesting to see how the wines ages.

A little funky on the nose upon opening which seemed to evolve to eucalyptus or menthol after a few hours. Earthy and red fruit oriented on the palate. Pretty nice overall balance and pleasant to drink. Tasty value!

Very delicious pinot by Siduri. Classic RRV nose but a bit more ripe fruit and heat on the nose than I would have cared for. All in all a solid QPR at $25 and happy to have more.

It’s still good! Maybe the screw top helped - I don’t know but enjoying very much. Lovely fruit and earth - quite elegant actually.

Solid Pinot, but it's crazy that a $30 Pinot is just a solid daily drinker. Decent fruit and light to medium acidity
