Enjoyed this wine over a few days. At the price of entry, it comes across with considerable richness in red apple and pear fruits, but with peppery slate notes on the long and well-balanced finish. This wine has ample acidity to support the richness, drink now through 2022+. For me, I will take 3 bottles of premier cru Chablis rather than spending $80 on a bottle of this wine again...

2011 SANDHI BENT ROCK SANTA RITA HILLS CHARDONNAY- magnum; 100% Chardonnay; very nice and inviting nose with some spicy, minerality and a fruit profile that continued on carrying peach, apricot and pear flavors served up in a creamy, luscious texture and holding on for a long finish.

Nose of lemon, lime and flinty / salty sea shore. Bigger & more lush mouthfeel than expected with tangy lemon, lime and ??? Long finish that evolves beautifully and is a great mix of salty sea and lush without being oaked or over done. I'd prefer a bit more crispness but excellent.

Tom & Tami's French and California Extravaganza: Blind. Incorrectly guessed French but the table was mixed on this one and rightfully so as it seems to have attributes of both. FMIII was adamant this was CA.
Good color with aromas of caramel and some oak. While it's not overwhelming, it does lead me in the direction of California. Medium plus acid drives the backbone of this wine with lemon and noticeable lime presence, cool. Chablis with oak? OK then it's French, wrong. I really enjoyed this wine but I just looked at the price, ouch.

Chardonnay Blind--CA and France @ Tom Moore's Place (Tom's House): Never had this producer before but know of them. Tasted blind. Lermon/lime, yellow apple and a bit of oak gives it a custard note. Good richness, clearly for me CA, not France. The finish maintains a lemon peel note.

Elegant wine that has Burgundian notes. Nonetheless, still has enough fruit and oomph to remind one that it's a CA wine. Quite delicious.

Elegant. Silky. Without excessive oak. Good wine.
