Medium-light golden yellow in color. Full, forward and attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, tropical notes of pineapple & citric notes of lemons/limes, with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & mineral notes, slate & a slight hint of honey in the background. Medium bodied, with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of honeyed dried apricots, sweet yellow peaches, pineapple & green apples with minerals & slate notes. Long lingering & crisp finish. Drinking quite well at 22 years of age and seems to have the backbone to develop slightly further with a few more years of additional aging. Fill well into neck; cork was stained on bottom 1/4 but intact. [A.P. Nr. 3 561 303-13-02; Alc. 8.5%] A wonderful wine.

Slightly musty and dumb from the bottle. With a decant, completely brilliant: deep, layered, round, perfect balance of sweet and sour. A wonderful bottle. So, in a great place; no particular indication of additional potential, but my experience with mature MSR is limited.

Pale yellow/gold. Nose of honey. Palate has lots of honey, a touch of sweetness, balanced bt plenty of acid. Citrus and tropical fruits abound. No noticeable petrol at this point. I think there is lots of life left in this; unfortunately my last bottle.

Light to med. golden. Metallic nose with moderate fruit, foliage, peach. Very rich and racy attack, citrus palate profile with tangerine, red grapefruit. Very good acidity. Moderate length, fruity finish. Concentrated, but not too complex, rather mineral, a little spicy. It's opening up alowly, needs more time, but quite balanced now.

EWG - 2001: A Taste Odyssey (Conrad Green's Abode): Bright, tart nose that is light in character. Good dose of effervescence. Very dry with no detectable sugar. I might have guessed a trocken if served blind. Bright and light bodied with tart apple flavors. Fresh.

Faint hint of spritz, sunflower yellow; fragrant, kiss of peaches; initially uptight this open out into typically an expressive, delicious EK. Stills needs a couple of years.

No idea where I picked up this wine, the main lower label missing could actually have helped me find this in the CT search menu (alphabet soup!). Beautiful pale golden color of a fine white bug; reticent nose of honey, apple and melon. Soft initial entry soon electrified with laser beam of brisk acidity and classic German riesling qualities save one - absolutely no "fusile" character here. Finish has excellent "sweet v. savory" tension and it goes on considerably. Great "all day" wine.

Glorious star bright pale gold; talcum powder, icing sugar, chalky with a hint of slatiness; grapey ( still too young?), mellow, refereshing acidity, a broader feel than expected fora Ruwer; finshes clean. Decent length, presently very enjoyable but lacks real drive & verve. Can't see much potential for future improvement, but may be pleasantly surprised, in view of previous earlier vintages . Drink now through to 2015?

Acidity to fore giving a threadbare feel. Decent enough, but I reckon best to drink sooner rather later.

Bright lemon cake, yellow apple, spritz, high acidity, but well integrated; razor sharp finesse, great precision. Loved this to death.
