From magnum with some friends. Poured a little off for an initial taste and then let it slow ox for a couple of hours with no decant. For an inexpensive wine this has held up remarkably well over the years. See comments below: light but typical CDR flavors, well integrated tannins and overall an enjoyable experience. Agree it’s time to drink up!

From magnum. Audoze for several hours before enjoying with charcuterie. ANDEREGG nails the tasting notes below. Soft, fleshy wine with singed underbrush, blueberry, boysenberry, and plum aromas and flavors. An acidic cranberry juice aroma keeps things lively. Almost no tannic structure remaining on the palate. Easy drinking juice, but drink up soon! "Very good," 88/100.

PnP and let sit in the glass for about 15 minutes. Color is garnet with a bit of fade at the edge. A bit of volatile blow off. Blueberry, blackberry, plum aromas. Smooth, dark fruit, warm, slightly sweet with well-integrated tannin on the palate. Quite delicious. Soft acid and tannin indicate that my bottles of this wine have fully matured or a little bit past. Drinking with dinner of chicken and sausage cassoulet and sauteed kale with roasted tomatoes and a cheese plate with English, chive cheddar and a truffle gouda.

About the same as a bottle a couple months ago, but it's starting to fade. Still has an excellent finish for a wine in this price range, but it's time to drink up.

Same as two months ago. Red (not black or blue) fruit, with hints of smoke and garrigue on the nose. Fairly rich, and it had a finish that punched way above its weight.

Consistent with a bottle three months ago. Red fruit with hints of smoke and garrigue. Fairly rich, with a finish that's remarkable for a wine in this price range. Probably at its peak. Possibly starting to head downhill.

Nice color. The expressive nose features aromas of ripe berries, garrigue, spice, earth and a hint of flowers. This is medium bodied on the palate with good concentration and decent class. The medium plus length finish features slightly coarse tannins.

Consistent with my first bottle four months ago. Cherries and a whiff of smoke on the nose. Black cherries on the palate. Fairly rich and viscous, with a solid finish.

My first bottle of the 2012. Opened about thirty minutes before tasting, but the wine didn't really open up until after another thirty minutes or so. Medium-dark color. Mostly cherries on the nose. Same on the palate, with slight traces of licorice and garrigue. Quite viscous, it had an outstanding finish for a wine in this price range. Not exactly thrilling, but it was beautifully balanced, with no rough edges. Ready to drink over the next year to two years.

Very pronounced barnyard nose. So strong it was distracting. For the first hour the wine was almost undrinkable, making me wonder if the bottle was corked. The nose softened and the bitter, earthy, honestly quite bad flavor softened over an hour and some of the gentle fruits were able to express themselves a little bit, but with so many good, easy drinking cotes du rhones out there, no reason to ever buy this one again.
Velvety and lifted fruit nose, easy and natural palate, this doesn't suffer from overripeness or hardness, and has nicely typical lavender and spice notes. Good qpr.

Overall an enjoyable wine with typical CdR flavors, but agree with the others that say flabby and drink up.

Medium ruby-purple, widely spaced slow-moving legs @14% abv. Medium(-) developing aromas of blackberries, pepper, dried leaves, wood. Dry, medium(-) acidity, medium(-) soft tannin, medium-medium(+) alcohol, medium(+) body. Medium(-) flavors of blueberry jam, white pepper, licorice notes, leather, bayleave. Balanced, linear, not very captivating. Good length, medium intense finish. Everyday table wine.

No sign of brett in this bottle. Minimal nose. Bramble. Low level of tannin. Nice drinking now, don't think it has more than a couple of years.
