Last bottle, and what a delightful farewell ! Since I had this one with a friend, I didn't drink it with an analytical mindset, so see my previous TNs here for descriptors. Yet this bottle showed pleasant signs of aging, softening and rounding, good integration so that I think this wine is really in a good place now, presumably for the next couple of years. Wouldn't want to risk my neck in predicting how long though, maybe it isn't on the level to be sitting there for another 10 years or so either.
In light of my previous ratings, I think it is ok to give this bottle an honorific 90 (as which it actually did appear to me tonight).

Eye: Medium ruby, only slightly fading edges, medium viscosity. Nose: Cooked strawberry, blackberries, mild cigar box and pine forest and a hint of cinnamon: 90. Palate: Doesn't quite hold nose's promise, slightly watery and not too complex, but very moreish and fruity. As before: "Beautiful also to get such a fruit induced impression of sweetness from a wine that at a residual sugar level of 6 g/L is moderately dry". Cooked unripe strawberries, some spice and blackcurrant. Pretty chalky in the mouth: 87 - 88.
On the whole: enjoyable anyday quaffer with a breathtaking qpr at sale price of 5 €. Kept up very well over 4 days -> 88-89. I also tried the 2012 which I didn't like quite as much.

The 2006 Reserva is a blend of 70% Garnacha, 20% Tempranillo, and 10% Carinena aged in barrel for 12 months. Spice box, pepper, violets, mineral, black cherry, and plum aromas are followed by a ripe, plush, pleasure-bent red that has enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years. Drink this outstanding value over the next 6-7 years. Score - 90

The nose is clean, med intensity, dense blue fruit and violet, a lot of brett notes of barnyard, earthy and dampness, ripe red cherries, balsamic notes, dried herds. The wine is dry, med body and intenstity, med acidity with 13% alcohol, freshly made red cherry jam, I think it lacks real backbone, a lot of gamey/evolved elements that give a nice rustic profile (if you are into it), med finish.
This was decanted all day with increasing satisfaction. The fruit was remarkably fresh for its stated age, and the wood provided the bouquet to keep pouring this complex and beautiful blend of three varietals into day two.

Grabbed this at a supermarket promotion of 4.99 €, one of the most ridiculous qpr I have ever seen ! At that price: buy ! Impossible otherwise to get something like this under 10 €.
Given the price I had to control myself and not give this a 90+ rating in order to express my enthusiasm. But since the rating should not express the qpr, I had to give it an 89 based on the slightly watery, thin quality on the palate.
Glass: dark ruby to violet. Nose of dried fruit on a base line of strawberry with some cinnamon, including loads of tobacco / cigar box too, making for a very warm, dark and herbal, spicy fragrance. The palate is a straightforward and earthy extension of that, and apart from the watery aspect keeps the nose's promise.
Beautiful also to get such a fruit induced impression of sweetness from a wine that at a residual sugar level of 6 g/L is moderately dry.

Clear and deep ruby. The nose is clean with tons of berry fruit characteristics. Black cherry, red plum skin and leather are all present. The palate is supple and complex. Fresh fruit instead of dried fruits come through as well as hints of violet, dried leaves and pepper. Very warm wine from Spain. The red fruit aromas combine with some jamminess, while tobacco and cocoa strike in the mouth. Full body and high soft tannin give it a powerful structure, somewhat low in acidity, but still enjoyable if you like this kind of big wine.

PnV let air in the glass for 1 hour poured other glass through Vinturri too. Dense dark purple with crimson to clear rim - still youthful looking. Raspberry cherry coffee lavender licorice and bergamot on the nose. Medium weight with tannins that are nicely balanced between polished and grippy. Flavors are big and echo the nose.
