Lemon curd nose with grapefruit, white fruits, some floral nuances, a touch of baking spice, slight almond bisquit and rubbery toast. Lightbodied and quite dry on the palate with refreshing acidity balancing the citrusy sweetness. Cooling wide moussé. Some bitter character leading to a finish of rubber, almonds and maccadamia. A good Cava - cooling, refreshing and citrusy with some toast accents. The dosage works here pretty well.

Nice and dry, good effervescence, light and very clean finish. Fell flat on fruit development, no one fruit put itself in the limelight or developed too much character. Solid enough cava for the $ though.

I've had this once before and generally felt the same way about it the second time. The flavors here are muted and lifeless, so this is best served very cold or in a cocktail. There is nothing offensive about this cava, but you can find better proseccos and cavas for the price.

Extreme effervescence and evaporative cotton on first taste. There's a bit of coarse, uneven sugar content that gets a nip sticky and raw, but otherwise this is crisp and lemon-like. I'm not sure, however, for the price that I would seek this one out again. it just wasn't exemplary.

Yeasty, just a little citrus, dry finish. Bubbles were pretty tiny. Took a few days to drink the bottle, the bubbles preserved well with a champagne stopper.

It was pleasant and got better as it breathed, but I agree that the bubbles seemed a bit coarse. At first it seemed more like a bottle of flavored Pierre than a cava.

Bubbles were a little coarse for my palate, but overall a very serviceable Cava. Lots of apple on the nose, palate is somewhat similar but the coarse bubbles overhwhelmed me a bit. Slightly lacking on acidity, but overall still pleasant.

This is a somewhat flat and lifeless sparkling wine. Not very refined bubbles and pretty thin on the flavor front. Drinkable, but there are better options at this price point.

Very good value on this very dry brut cava. Very tiny bead, which makes it very lively in the mouth and not harsh. Instead, it is intensely fizzy because there are so many small bubbles.Slight aromas of lemon pith and almond, with more citrus, lemon and grapefruit pith in the flavors. Slightly nutty finish. Even though the complexity does not fully deliver in well-rounded flavors, the hints of complexity in this value sparkler make it a good choice for those who really like dry sparkling wine.

Nice and plentiful bubbles. Decent amount of creaminess. Basic citrus and lemon flavors. A little hint of yeast or bread. Nice crispness. Nothing earth shattering and a good value. Seemed well liked at the party.

Disgorged Aug '07. Found this to be quite enjoyable for an inexpensive bubbly... pale yellow color. not many bubbles in the glass, but very effervescent in the mouth. Not overly complex, but some nice citrus, lemon zest and roasted nuts on the nose and palate. Very light, but a decent finish.

Delicate pale straw colour with plenty of citrus peel, honeysuckle, and green apples on the nose. Sweet for a brut with explosions of pear and orange bitters on the palate; not very well balanced. Negligible finish.

Pale watery yellow color. Faint nose...florals and citrus. Nice ample bubbles, bright acidity and a light, creamy mouthfeel are the strong points. Flavors of lemon zest and general citrus. Some yeast notes...a little biscuit on the medium clean finish. Very nice QPR. Won't change your life but 87 points for $11 bubbly that doesn't suck is pretty good.

lots of bubbles (made a "head" like beer) on first pouring -- settled down by the end. Split the bottle with my husband -- didn't care for it at first, by the end we thought it was "ok" but probably wouldn't buy another with so many other champagnes that we ~love~ at the same price point.

Received as part of a gift basket. The only good thing to say about it is it had lots of fun bubbles. Basically like drinking sparkling grape juice - only without the nice flavors.

TWC does NV Champagnes (John's House on Utica): Solid value. Pale gold, with medium sized, slow bubbles (from a Riedel Vinum Prestige Cuvee Glass). A nose of lemon and grapefruit, with light and frothy flavors, mostly grapefruit. Medium bodied and quite tasty.

Meh - this one, served at cellar temp, was a bit appley and simplistic. No real cut to the wine, perhaps it needs more of a chill?

A recent bottle blew away a prior one I had, perhaps it was damaged in some way. In any event, a solid cava and worth a pickup for less than $15.
