Golden lemon in glass. White florals, dry honeysuckle, beeswax, loquat, caramel and hint temple incense. Aged, oily texture, soft hay, late apricots. Slightly off-dry, balanced with silky lacy tannins, talcum powder, fresh brioche. Streak of lemon-pith bitter and salted kumquats. Elegant and juicy - at a great place in development now. Paired with chicken curry noodle with ease - thank you Mich!

There is complexity and balance to the nose that is floral, with honey, pear and slight waxy and caramel notes. The sweet and viscous palate has reasonable acidity and a nice bitter grapefruit finish.

Typical Chenin Blanc with waxy and rich aromas of honey, citrus and canned fruit. Has developed positively and tightened up considerably the last 5 years. Extremely concentrated and hefty. More punch than elegance, though, with rather low acidity.

Im surprised by the tasting notes on this stunning wine. This is classical complex aged vouvray: orange brassy bright sparkling hue; intense very complex estery fruits apple pear plus pine resin nose; very dry excellent zingy acids great length fresh floral apple pear quince spectrum. Fabulous wine everyone enjoyed it when discovered it to be biodynamic we could even feel proud to consume it. has another ten years to improve.

Me and my guest were disapointed. Nice nose promises with honey , wax and spicies flavors but mouth was too flat to enjoy it. Not sure Time Will improve it. As said before. Mouth was suffering a real lack of flavors.

Ripe aromas of yellow fruits and something that reminds of cheese. Compact, waxy and impressively rich, but a bit flabby in the mouth. Less elegant than the 2006.

Very soft, gentle nose, with well-integrated age/oxidation. Notes of sherry, lemon curd, caramel, and almond. Palate shows strong, slick acidity and light flavours of honey, melon, almond, and lanolin. Drinkable, but nothing about it really stands out. Maybe a bad bottle - too oxidised.

Waxy and typical chenin blanc on the nose. Somewhat flabby and a bit disappointing in the mouth. Lacks the structure and acidity normally found in Huet wines.

Herbal, mineral, waxy, bit of sweet citrus, slight bit of oxidative notes. A nice Huet, but a bit duller and less vibrant than other vintages. Good, not great. I have no idea about its ability to age any further though I don't think I'll hold my remaining bottle very long.

Shy nose. Mouth semi sweat with still acidity. light bodied, ending with the usual mineral style of the estate. A hot vintage managed with the same target than others. Prehaps it was the occasion to make an exception. The result is not as exeptionnal a usual,

Loire Trip (with stops in Beaujolais and the Cote Chalonnaise); 10/2/2008-10/5/2008: Expressive, with an abundance of fruit and, again, hints of botrytis (although botrytized berries here are supposed to be reserved for moelleux). Concentrated and vigorous, this also shows a slight, tannic skin influence and ever so slight warmth.

Light yellow with a greenish tinge. Lots of alcohol initially. Citrussy nose. Crisp with lime and pineapple flavors. Very young and angular. Needs time to soften the hard edges. An hour of air softens it sufficiently and gives it some peach nuances. An hour and a half gives it a somewhat creamy texture. The finish is very long but has a slightly bitter element with a bit of grapefruit showing. Outstanding stuff that should repay extended cellaring.

Candied ginger and lemon peel. Slightly nutty. Subtle orange blossom honey. Gentle sweetness. Well balanced. Lovely and elegant. Excellent.

Visit to Domaine Huet: Fragrant, honey nuts and caramel.
Amazing complexities when it hits the mouth.
