stemmy green herbs, black pepper, violets, and blackberry nose. medium to full body with enough acid to balance. very savory blackberry palate with more pepper and vegetal notes along with some emerging fennel and leather. moderately tannic with a medium length finish. excellent foil for chili.

Drinking extremly well at the moment. Silky red fruit with a hint of maturity. There’s also a flowery component to this wine, which I attribute to the viognier and muscat. There is a herbal element to the finish that some people will call green, but since I’m very tolerant to those aromas I don’t mind.

pretty much everything everyone else said, except this type of wine is not my bag. the lack of fruit and strange finish makes this a very geeky wine. lack of delicious quality.

Served blind to a group of wine friends - consensus was this was an old world wine. Group was split on Rhone and potentially Loire given some slight green/leafy notes. The nose had loads of black pepper and herby black fruit. Palate was light-to-medium bodied with terrific juiciness and freshness. The fruit is on the under-ripe side (12.4 ABV) so there are some slight green/herbal notes but I found those to be quite charming and interesting. Great texture and persistence. An excellent wine and excellent value. Kudos.

Seductive nose of mostly Syrah-typical notes. Fresh vibrant dark fruit, charcuteries, pork, blood but also some fresh herbs is thrown in the mix. Everything in a very cool style, really like the nose. More about Grenache on the palate, more resistance and a bit rougher edges. The fruit leans more towards cassis and blueberry now with a lot of herbs and a salty twang at the end. Pretty long aftertaste that I find quite austere, in a good way. This is a really entertaining wine that throws you back and forth between the two varieties, a lot more complex than I'd expected. Very good.
initial nose is very funky... checked the label for mourvedre (none) - it had a definite waft of horse... after 10 minutes, 80% of the funk blows off and you're left with lavender, herbs, flowers over the very pretty syrah and grenache fruit. downright feminine and pretty, and beautiful young.
love these wines, and love how well these perform young.

Such a lovely bottle of wine. Previous bottle was more dominated by syrah flavours, but here the grenache is more noticable. Ripe, yet restrained and elegant, dark cherry/raspberry fruit with herbs and a lot of minerality. Very fresh.

Iron/blood, red/black fruit, alcohol warm, initially funky but it blew away. Appeared nature wineish first but later on represented itself more as a conventional wine but without getting boring or predictable.

Lovely lovely. Full bodied, blood and meat and lots of ripe blueberries and blackberries and raspberries, but fresh and structured and very serious. Some herbal notes and wet pipe tobacco. Very very fine.

Although this is dominated by grenache (53%) the wine is more dominated by syrah (44%) flavors. Muscat d'Alexandrine and viognier makes up the rest of the blend. Meat, herbs and dark fruit. Cool profile and with good balance. Not as good as their 2015 gamay from Barsotti Vineyard or as unique as the whole-cluster pinot gris, but still a really nice wine.

Taut and delicious and really well made in a northern Rhone style without excessively sweet fruit. Dark fruits fan out on the palate with notes of black pepper, garrigue and game meats. Finishes grippy with a nice mineral crunch. Very well done and should improve. 91+

53% Grenache, 44% Syrah, 2% Viognier, 1% Muscat D'Alexandria. This is a thoughtfully co-fermented wine showing both elegance and power. The Syrah provides tremendous structure to the fruity Grenache. Wonderfully balanced. The texture here is a stunner. Full bodied, but the acid provides a freshness that one rarely expects to find in this type of blend. Aromatically, this comes in waves and layers of florals and dark fruit. A gorgeous savory element emerges on the mid palate, but works with the fruit in distinct harmony.
This is a contralto of a wine. It has a deep tone, but a feminine beauty which cannot be denied. We enjoyed with some lamb & heirloom tomato flatbreads. The gaminess of the lamb & bright acid of the tomato played beautifully with the elements of this wine. Jolie Laide is making special wine.

Vinopia sortimentsprovning (AG, stockholm): Fantastic grenache&syrah blend. Just plain lovely and elegant. This has all the best of cold climate syrah and grenache. Strongly recommended!

So much youthful exuberance in this wine. By turns the Syrah and Grenache battle it out to see who will be the top note, with the floral aspect of the Viognier and Muscat weaving in and out as well. Really dynamic and changeable in the glass over a couple hours. While enjoyable now, everything points to this being much more interesting down the road once it settles into a more measured, integrated piece.

Floral and red fruit nose, really showing. Palate of wild red berries, bramble, wild flowers and a bit of pepper and savory dried herbs. Chewy tannins with medium plus acid. It's a bit Beaujolais like or rather on the lighter Grenache range or a gregarious entry level northern Rhone. It's got a lot of energy. Grenache and a bit of Syrah with <5% Muscat and Viognier, all co-fermented. Very nice if a touch overpriced.

This showed a deep, dark and almost purple color in the glass with a bouquet of plum, black fruit, violet floral tones, spice and a hint of pepper. On the palate, I found ripe dark berry tones offset by brisk acidity with crushed stone, minerals and pepper, which lasted into the mouthwatering finish along with a slight hint of tannin.

7% Solution, SF 2015 (SF): Grenache (Alban Clone), Syrah, co-planted (and thus co-fermented) with Muscat and Viognier. Moderate plus concentration dark ruby. Expressive nose of cherries, smoked ham (a bit of reduction). Smoked meats. Some black pepper. Palate: Brambly, stemmy, a very little bit of Brett on the back end. Complex. Aggressive tannins. Delicious savory fruit. There’s a lot going on in this wine - makes sense given it’s co-planted. Love this! $38 Around 9

Still a very nice wine, but weak compared with previous bottle 1,5 years ago. Lower energy and with less definition.
