Deep gold amber. On the nose, grapefruit marmalade, nuts, lemon and its rind. Very pure fruit straight down the middle of the palate with a hint of salinity, some oxidation and nuttiness, high acids, lovely clarity, long ringing finish. 13.5 % alcohol. [Drank at our anniversary dinner at Daniel.]

Excellent wine. A great nose of petrol, lime, lemon and floral notes. On the palate this was medium plus bodied, well balanced (the acidity was just right with the expressive fruit) and clean. A pleasure to drink!

Beautiful amber colour, rich broad nose with wood, sweet honey and apples. Zesty mineral pallete a lovely balanced wine and in such a nice place. Mega long finish.

This is just sitting in such a nice place right now, that it's difficult to hold on to any remaining bottles. Lovely minerality and freshness, with ripe apples and lemon and some petrol notes poking through. Tight and compact, but not closed. Will hold for another 5 years easily, but so good now.

Midsummer weekend @ Sturköbaren; 6/23/2012-6/24/2012 (Sturkö, Sweden): Great complexity with - among other things - notes of honey, apple pie, lemon zest, orange rind, creme brulee, light petrol, wet rocks and coniferous forest. Very smooth and harmonious taste, perfectly balanced without any bitterness or disturbing greenness. À point now.

Lovely fruity sugary nose, with hints of exotic fruits. In mouth, quite subdued but still very clean with ever so slightly a taste of minerality. I must admit I was a bit disappointed by the lack of firmness of the body. Overall still very good but maybe missing this little thing to make it a star.

really dissapointing on this one. "Jubilee", for me it was not any Jubiii drinking it. i was expecting a more refined riesling for this price tag. quite anonymous with short finish. a bit too sour four my taste. although, a bit better second day with more texture and better balance. 87 second day

Second and last bottle. Tulip yellow. The initial impression of glossy peach fruit gives way to a powerful finish of lemon and minerality. Some viscosity, just off dry, but the scintillating acidity comes in a rush at the end and makes it feel leaner and sleeker. Terrific and drinking very well now.

Alsace wine fair (Raffles Hotel): Alcohol : 13.5% The best in the line up and the quality does justify the status. Most perfume and intense nose that has touch of kerosene with lots of mineral, crushed stone and orchard fruits that is bone dry, with good tension on the palate which finish is fresh and mineral. A tad simple. Buy - No.

This is still a tight wine, that takes a while to open up into flowery honey with a firm citrus structure and some layers of fruit - pears and peach? The taste just goes on and on with the acid not letting go at any part of the journey and the wine was absolutely fabulous with the grilled cusk and scallops we had with it. I will buy more of this.

Cellar Tasting, Hugel (Riquewihr): Tasted at Domaine. Richer, more honeyed nose. Floral top notes with some caramel. More complex but also tighter on the mid-palate. More viscous too, with quite thick legs. Long and intense. Floral and slightly honeyed elements on the finish. ***

Medium yellow. Penetrating nose of lemon oil, powder, and some high tones. Mouthwatering, powerful, full bodied Riesling that is barely off dry with peach fruit, orange rind, and a finish that features acid, minerality, and some quinine bitterness. I liked this a lot and will buy more.

Hugel et Fils tasting (Cornerstone Wines, Robertson Walk): Very ordinary. Nothing wrong, but nothing really outstanding either. Chalk, white fruit and a touch of nectar on the nose. Palate had a strong seam of mineral, with high, almost tart acidity. There was some indistinct white fruit on the attack, but I thought the wine went a little watery after the mid-palate, before settling into an okay finish with more of the snappy acidity.

Grapefrukt, sitron, hvit pepper, hint av vanilje. God lengde og fylde. Litt mye syre i forhold til frukt. Mangler litt på kompleksitet. Frisk.

Sitron, skifer og grapefrukt. Virker litt mer tropisk enn tyske rieslingene. Lang ettersmak, slank, men virker litt for enkel.
