From magnum. Aromas of strawberries and earth. The palate reveals unsweetened strawberries, minerals, earth, and black raspberries. On day two, the fruit receded and minerals and spice became more prominent. There's a nice savoriness and good acidic spine. While it's not overly serious, there's enough complexity to demand attention. Drink now.

I had opened this a few nights ago, poured a small glass and changed my mind, opened something else. On night one it was a little too grapey. So it saw very little air but tonight the remaining 7/8s of the btl was 100% more interesting. Tonight it was an excellent expression of energetic; black raspberries, earth, mineral and some savory notes to boot. Very tasty. 12.5% Alc.

The '14 Dupeuble is rocking and even better than it was in April. Maybe the best Dupeuble I've had drinking them since 2005! My April notes that follow still apply but tonight this just seemed to have gained more presence and depth still. This has vineyard fresh Rainier cherries, mineral and a lovely nose. Concentrated with ethereal weightlessness. One of the purest expressions of old vine gamay you can drink. This just sparkles with freshness and vibrance. Can't imagine there's a better Beaujolais out there labeled simply as "Beaujolais". This is easily the equal of many Cru Beaujolais. Imported by Kermit Lynch. Paid $13, easily drinks like $20+.

Nose is very intriguing with red fruits up front giving way to mint and sage on the back. Palate is dry and light-bodied with blackberries and sour cherries. Nice acidity but not too fruity, still has some austerity to it which I like very much. Good for sipping on its own on a hot day or enjoying with lighter meats like roast chicken or pork.

Whoa! What a solid wine! Star bright garnet red in the glass. The nose and palate were full of rose and hibiscus florals, lavender, fresh bay laurel and other herbs, and beautiful tart red fruits including cherries, cranberries, pomegranates, and a very unusual note I can only describe as tannic cran-apple. Great tannins that have a little bit more refinement ahead of them and thirst quenching acidity keep you drinking this for days without thought. Medium (+) finish and a tremendous QPR at $15!

One of the best $14 bottles I've ever tasted and disregard price it's just great juice! Bright fresh red berry fruit with some forest floor, hints of earth and flowers, and tart acidity but smooth mouthfeel.

My love affair with this producer continues. Other than, finding it locally, this is an easy mindless purchase every year. The '14 seems like a notch up from the 12 too. Another year, another rock-solid Dupeuble. Perhaps not as dark and meaty as the superb 2013 rendition, as this one is more in the vibrant and red-fruited spectrum, but that's not a knock by any measure. It is still a consistently delicious, vivacious, and versatile wine that's exactly what you want on the dinner table almost any weeknight. A perfect wine to "defend" the Cru Bojos in your cellar.

Enjoyed this again. There's a lot to like about it - really attractive fruit profile, good balance, $13. I've had several vintages of this wine and, while always good, this one is a couple of notches up in quality.

Was pretty tight and wound up so I vacuvin'd and left in the fridge for a couple of days. It seemed to open up a bit and was very nice. A little less primary than previous vintages at this stage and with more of an earthy fruit profile. Very promising for 2014 Bojo!

The new vintage is on par with 2013 at this point. Much, much fresher and more vibrant than the 2013 is at this point in its life. Tart with a typical Beaujolais perfume that makes this a true value year after year.
Oddly, I've gotten a much higher percentage of bottles with leaky corks than any other wine I've come across. No bottles have been noticeably spoiled, however.

Surprisingly fruity given the age. Probably beginning to turn, but still a nice light drinking wine.
