another 89+, really. This was open for 4-5 days and it never gave in. If anything, it just kept getting better. Wonderful food wine, with fruit reminiscent of a SB, but better. Good acidity.

Wine Crawl 12: Verdejo, Verdelho and California Pinot Noir (San Francisco): Quite aromatic, with floral aromas, green apple and tropical fruits, and a whiff of something like freshly-churned butter. Medium(-) acidity, with a lush, oily mouthfeel and perhaps a little residual sugar. With time in the glass the nose picks up a beer-y, fermentative note. I found this somewhat flabby and in need of more definition or structure on the palate; moreover, this bottle seemed to be past its prime. My 3/3, group's 3/3; tasted blind.

Light yellow colour; nose of artichoke/asparagus boil; lanolin causing my mouth to water. Dry, almost tart, a tad out of balance, grainy with a little heat at end. Not especially pleased with the hot finish, burning at the end. Tart, bitter finish.

Grapefruit peel dominated nose, with additional lemongrass, green herbs on the palate. Nice oily mouthfeel, and good length. Initially awkward, this benefited greatly from air. Update - thus held up very well in the fridge. The last glass 3 nights later was the best of all, rich and citrus-melony, not at all nutty or oxidized. I found serving temperature to be important; i enjoyed this most somewhere just below cellar temperature.

Grapefruit! Holds its own with the white Burgundies at the table - like your buddy's hippie girlfriend...you're intrigued. There's that consistent grassy grapefruit on the palette.

Grapefruit on the nose, slight fruit on the uptake, excellent balance. Great nose. Served chilled with corn chips and salsa. Perhaps the most fun white I know of.

Really 89+...taken to white wine tasting dinner at China Panda... this showed just beautifully... for me and LC probably the most complex, complete wine on the table...great balance of fruit and acidity, clean and refreshing, this is a great value white that I can always drink.

Saturday at Mikhail's place: Light lemon color. Intense nose of grapefruit rind, pineapple and cranberries. On the palate it's a bit soft, with a somewhat clipped finish.

Casual dinner with friends (queens): tropical, pinapple, grapefruit peel, alc shows a bit, less crisp than expected - more full and lush/rich - almoust buttery, cranberry, gooseberry, nice wine and qpr.

This wine just keeps getting better and better. Great depth and purity. Hints of grapefruit and melon on the palate with a long satisfying finish. Really attacks the palate on entry. On day 2 more grapefruit and other citrus starts to dominate. Fantastic bargain.

Lime and tonic water nose, with some melon fruit secondary to the minerally flavors. Good concentration. A hint of vanilla towards the finish, just barely noticeable. This had enough flavor to compliment a sauce made of garlic, crushed anchovy, green olive and tomatoes with pieces of fresh tuna served over tiny shell pasta. The green olives and the wine had a real synergy.

Took to lunch at Las Brisas....minerally, good acidity, lean, great food wine. Not trying to be more than it is.. a good drinking wine to accompany food....

The nose is very expressive, lots of saline, tonic water minerals with the honeydew melon fruit very much in the background. There is a bit of spice to the lively palate, and the wine has a sappy concentration that comes from the old vines. Very good, buy again.

I love this wine. Lots of grassy, grapefruit, and smoke character for a reasonable price.

Simple wine simply pleases - honeydew, peach, and herb, slight citrus overtones with a smooth mineral finish. Hooray for the Spanish!

"What did I buy from Garagiste?!?" third semi-annual tasting and dinner (My home - Chicago IL): Tasting. Lush fruit nose. Lots of bright fruit flavors – both apple and citrus elements. Good fruit but slightly tart on the finish.
