Strawberry and cherry on the nose. Nice ruby color with moderate legs. Medium mouth feel. Dark berries and mineral on the palate. Tart, slightly spicy medium finish.

Not a brilliant wine by any means, but this was a really decent half-bottle to have over lunch. The nose was classic Chianti, with strawberries, dried earth and brush herbs. The palate was better with food than without, rounding out into gobs of fresh strawberries and red cherries seasoned with more herb and spice - all very high-toned, with bright tomato acidity. A touch rustic on the tannins and bright acid, but this made it really food friendly. Still needs a bit more time in the bottle I think, but this was a simple but pleasant Chianti. Definitely a good wine, but exactly what you would want in a Chianti Classico at this level.

Pnp, the cork, which cork? This one is a mess! If you store this bootle closed with a wood pellet low class cork you soon will get problems, but an "entry level" Chianti Classico is best young or with a short maturity, then like this bottle there is this classic acidic tension paired with this mouthfilling refreshing sour cherry, Badia a Coltibuono is still using the old varietal Cananiolo in the Sangiovese Cuvee of this Chianti Classico, very good appearance, a perfect food wine! Very good QPR at about 13€ per bottle, **-(***), 88- 89+ potential

Consistently good value for Chianti Classico. Needs to breathe to reveal its full flavor and balance out. Beautiful winery that's worth visiting, too, if you ever get a trip to the region. My daughter gave me this bottle for Christmas. Thank you!

This has developed slightly since my last bottle, still a very soft and developed Chianti, but a little more flavor definition of sour cherry and spice. That said it was very comforting with a salad and plate of Bolognese.

Texas Wine School Wines of Italy Class. Classic blend which includes 10% Canaiolo according to the label. The color is clear, medium (-) ruby, with aromas red cherry, pomegranate, dried herbs, red licorice and some oak spice. The palate is dry, with medium to medium (+) acidity, tannins and alcohol (13.5%). This is a very nicely balanced, medium to medium (+) bodied red which is fine on its own and even better with food. It is in its optimal drinking window, with the tannins resolving, and should show well for several more years. This is a great value Chianti Classico from a top producer at under $17.00.

Menu decanted. Nice, drinkable, light-bodied red. Soft nose of cherry and plum that carries through dry palate (good acidity). Medium short finish with good tannins.

Great! This'll do nicely as a new affordable Chianti for both my house and the wine shop I buy for! Light bodied with cherries and some weighty plum, just what I was looking for.

This is a really good value. A bit thin, with a quick finish, but very drinkable and very good with a mildly spiced dish.

Mmmm delicious Chianti! Tart cherries as I craved and medium translucent ruby - both in colour and 'feel'. Very well balanced.
