Pop and pour, drank half the bottle over 2 hours. I thought this was stellar, served with lemon chicken. The wine itself is lemony, creamy and mineral-driven with great acid. Seeing that I paid $28 makes it even better.

Concur with Moods note. Drank over two nights. Fruit was understated and citrus acidity was dominant. This lent an edge to the wine that never moderated, so was slightly unbalanced. Generally I prefer a bit of an edgy wine, where it is crisp and clean, but this was sharp. Was indeed better as it warmed, giving hints of quality buried somewhere, but the promise never fulfilled. Surprised given praise in many notes. One more in cellar, maybe it'll be better, or has its time past?

Decent enough for the price level. Doesn't possess significant depth of fruit on the nose or palate. Needed some time to come around. Strongly recommend avoiding overchilling. Somewhat austere, with a fair amount of minerality. Citrus zippiness. Certainly easy drinking and quaffable.

Pale gold color. PNP, drank a couple glasses over 2 hours. I wasn't too excited on opening this. Might have been a little too cold, but it also may just have needed some time. Nose eventually shows a swet mango note, Meyer lemon, and minerals with the littlest hint of vanilla. The palate takes on more weight and depth over an hour and shows mostly lemon and minerality. Now I'm liking this a lot. 88+ to 89pts.

Aromas of Flint, lemon, touch of nut and a touch of mango. Flavors of nut, lemon, Granny Smith Apple and mineral. Ends with a mineral driven finish of 20-25 seconds. Much better than the last time I had this. Hitting all the right spots.

Aromas of flint, mineral, lemon and a touch of fund. I want to say TCA but I don't get it all the time and it doesn't show on the palate at all. Flavors of lemon, mineral, star fruit and touch of nut. Ends with a mineral driven finish of 20 seconds. This was served too cold initially but got better as it warmed up. Not quite as good as the last time I had it because of the weirdness on the nose but a very solid wine.

Light gold color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over an hour. This is awfully good for its level. Loads of bright citrus and limestone minerality with an earthy bend on the nose and bbn palate. Medium body with impressive depth. 89+pts.

This straw-colored Chardonnay is produced primarily from quality vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet. Nicely laden with citrus, wet stones and cardamom, it is a light-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (13%) offering that has a tiny dollop of oak to add a bit of complexity. The middle palate is credible but the finish is a bit terse. Although this is quite enjoyable, it falls short when compared with its 2015 sibling. Drink now-2021.

Aromas of apple, pear, touch of tropical fruit and touch of mineral. Flavors of lemon custard, guava, banana and mineral. Ends with a great finish of 20 seconds with mineral and exotic fruit notes. Little more tropical than I would have expected but not overdone and very balanced.

P: MF body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt counterbalanced by an acidity which beautifully morphs into a LONG, tangy/swt finish with an elegance that belies the price. Moreover, I can see improvement for 6 mos or so, then drinking through '20, poss longer. Impressive! My EXC-. 86 pts Burghound & 15.5/20 Jancis Robinson. [This vendor's $22.95 puts it @ the HEAD of the wine-searcher "class"!]

Enticing aromas of lemon verbena and cream. Very rich, moderately full body, yet stony minerality. Moderately long length of finish and finesse. Good intensity of flavor.

K&L Burgundy Tasting (Summer 2018) (K&L Hollywood): By comparison with preceding wines, this came across as rich and flabby. This seemed a bit disjointed to me on the nose, and while it showed reasonable minerality on the palate, the perceived acidity made it show a little flat to me.

This is now the long term barrel bottle of Bourgogne. The one held back an extra 6 months in barrel. Wet limestone and minerality on the nose. Touch of cream and honey but just hints. Just opened and really darn good.
So there is apparently a Cuvee from 2016 that it’s still in barrel which is this tasting note. So I guess instead of steel and release it’s a very long term aged wine. So for that much longer oak it’s not that oaky. But I am guessing the oaky is not new. Lots of sweet and generous stone fruit on it. Delicious. I like the longer oak. And to be bottled in March.

From the lower parts of puligny. So I guess it could be puligny yet they choose Ok actually it is all puligny in well places vineyard on the correct side of the route 74. In general it’s the wine that is picked last. Which I guess explains why it so open. And there it is. To me power flush and delicious. Very fine indeed.

Colour: Yellow.
Bouquet: Citrus, honey, orange, flowers, herbs.
Palate: Med(+) acid, relative full-bodied for a basic blanc. Lemon, mint, liquorice, brioche.
Easy-drinking.
