Served blind. Base 2018. Regal, classic nose with a distinct coffee note. Toasty and clean palate though less expressive here. Grippy with oxidative notes. I was liking the more classic, oxidative notes. I thought there was a chance it was an older, bigger wine. Fairly nice as is. I'm guessing more air and time would serve it better.

I usually find Brut Natures just too dry and tart but this was delicious. Lots of fresh citrus and salinity followed by toasty lees notes and cooling fennel.

The nose is jubilant and packed with fresh picked citrus, green apples, white fruits, white peaches, ginger, chamomile, crushed rocks, pastry notes, dough, and biscuits. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and vibrant with racy, high acidity. The acidity is well-integrated, but with a mouthwatering quality as well. This is from a 2019 base with a 2/3/22 disgorgement. I love the immediacy and spring-like nature to the wine.

Lovely crisp fresh nose - lemon zest spritzed on smoked salmon, some sea air and a tiny amount of natural funk. Palate delivers on the nose - great intensity and lazer like cut. Oysters and lemon served with a slap in the face (in a good way). This came to life with the crab and corn tart - complimentary to the richness. Really rather lovely.

Blind tasting. Nice complex nose of orange peal, meringue, Christmas pudding, and golden apples. Mouth delicate with fine bubbles, nice acidity and mostly mastered bitters: roots, Suze spirit, quinina. Ending dry on curcuma and chalk. Excellent. That is for accurate tasters. Needs cheese, or why not a Madras dish ? Howzat idea ? Disgorged jan 2020.

I did not have high expectations for this one since I was quite dissapointed with my previous bottle. Remember that I thought that I could not understand the fuzz with this producer.
This bottle glady showed me wrong!
Slightly oxidative characters that played well with the autolysis. A bit pointy acidity at the moment, but I think that this will settle in two-three years. Wish I had more bottles!

"Brunch is the gamay of meals" Vol. 2 (Chicago, IL): Disgorged Oct. 17, 2017, R14. Definitely not my preferred style of champagne. This is leaning too far towards the natty side of things for me. Some sort of stewed white fruit (that isn't too pleasant), and lacking the dosage to actually fill out the back end, you get this weird ungainly wine where the midpalate is all hollowed out. Odd stuff.

Another 2018 disgorgement, with similar results, although more expectation and less close attention left me less excited than when I had the same wine in January. Love the chalky feel that doesn't seem as though it's overly austere or intellectual, and the sense that this is really well-made with perfectly ripe fruit. One to repurchase.

First time trying this producer, and really pleased with the wine. It has such compelling poise between chalky/energetic/mineral and rich/leesy/creamy, and (in the best possible sense) seems a lot more mature than its relative youth would imply (this was an R15, disgorged 2018). I love the fact that it's both taut and broad, and has great depth of flavour without really tasting of anything in particular. Very disappointing when the bottle came to an end...

Part of the blinds, but my bottle. This is clearly all chardonnay, but what strikes me is the richness of it. I'd never have guessed this was brut nature, as the depth this has is quite remarkable - clearly achieved by time on the lees. A powerful wine, which isn't necessarily the most complex, but really speaks to the idea that dosage is fools gold in terms of sweetness. My only thought after this was why I don't own more.

An enjoyable champagne. A bit off the beaten path in style, but in a nice way. This I drank much faster than some of the others of the evening so I suspect I was a bit more intrigued by it. A tough tangy I want to say. Good champagne.

Au restaurant, fin de soirée. Beaucoup de bulles (pas ma préférence) mais fines. Relativement peu expressif au nez avec quelques arômes de pomme verte, la bouche est vive mais finit sur des saveurs quelque peu amères. Finale moyenne.

Light slate golden color. Good persistent bubbles. Nose rich, slightly nutty, bruised golden apple. Palate strikingly high acidity, green apples, light brioche, good minerality with a light saline streak. In my limited champagne experience, the most direct comparison I would have had is MV Krug. Very very nice, enjoyable with a fatty meal, great QPR ($60). Disgorged 2016, from 2014 vintage. Cries out to be drank with food, wouldn’t drink by itself. 93 pts

Comes from a 15 year old vineyard with the worst possible sun exposition. The fact that the vineyard is not cultivated results in extreme low yields. 12 months in a small barrels, wild fermentation including ML. Got only a tiny amount of sulfur during pressing.
Lovely fruit on nose (apricots, etc.). Very rich and persistent bubbles. Full bodied with a long finish.
Overall: Great structure, delicious. I love this.

NV VOUETTE & SORBEE BLANC d`ARGILE BRUT NATURE- bracing acidity here with a strong suggestion occurring about 8 inches away from the wine glass; I approached with more care and sure enough, this is an acid bomb; even the taste required a delicate sip as the wine bit back with a sharp hit; amidst of all of this was some serious citrus notes of lemon, lime and grapefruit.

Not as complex as the Pol 2012 and Delamotte 2012 alongside which it was drunk
