A little shy on the nose, spicy, red and dark fruit, elegant and fine with good depth. Good concentration of fruit, but quite structured still, good acidity and depth, but somewhat drying towards the long finish. Slowly drink up. 90-92

Some spice notes on the nose, very inviting. Palate is dark fruited, gives an impression of good density, the fruit is dark and slightly sweet and is just veering into cough-syrup territory. I liked this, though it is more dark and compact than elegant or nuanced. Racines with Charles, Mike C. and Yaacov.

This is coming in the zone now at 13 years - it is good to drink and no need to wait - it is starting to develop secondary notes. Darker colour, dark-fruited with the cola-note I associate with Morey. Performs at the level you would expect from a Village from a good producer in a very good vintage. May be lacks either the secondary development or acidic backbone/lift to qualify as an overachieving Village.

Translucent, but deep garnet. Nose is lively, if not very complex, forest floor, earth, slightly farm-yardy, red fruit, cerise. In palate, mid-weight, red cherries medium-bodied, lightly tannic. A decent villages.

i thought this was one dimensional, middle to the red / black spectrum re the fruit, some medicinal flavor, fruited and simple, enough acid but no tannin / texture… not a buy in my view, seeing the other notes maybe mine was a bad bottle

somewhat a little dissapointed since I was expecting some more from this but it was a joy to drink nevertheless. Deep dark red color. The nose had notes of black forest fruits white peppar and spices, black tea and cola, forest floor and a smoky note. on the palate it was a little to thin and kind of not there but you could tell that it had all the right stuffing just not really showing it. Notes of sweet soy sauce raspberries a chalky minerality pomegranate and fresh herbs, might wanna try again in 3-4 years, but this is simply just not up my alley I prefer the Aux Echezeaux over this and it´s also cheaper.

A real impact wine, huge redcurrant fragrance, rich, some vanilla from the oak, but it still floats, lots of layers - but yet again the first sips were best and it tightened up in the glass

The previous evening's bottle had been so good that I couldn't face drinking anything else and so we opened another tonight. And the first sips were just like last night's - majestic, complex etc etc - but the next glasses seemed much more muted and the wine got lost against the chicken we were eating

Stellar, as always. I needed cheering up tonight, and there can be no more reliable wine to lift me up. Although young and vigorous, it has nuance, breadth and complexity and reminds one that you don't necessarily have to wait years to get these qualities. For the record, the flavours are of black cherries, smoke and liquorice and the texture is velvet. Thrilling.

Fourth time I've had this. Fourth time I've been bowled over. It has so much. The fruit is red - cherries and raspberries. There's no real undergrowth yet. But the fruit is not primary, there's a burgundy magic about it. It's not unlike the Rouget Cros Parantoux '93 drunk recently, but not as strict. Utterly, utterly wonderful.

Oh, my. This just leapt from the glass - raspberries, cherries, spices, a great swirl of exciting flavours. So good that we had to open a second bottle. Stunning

Takes a little time to open up, to reveal black cherry, raspberry, anise, smoked meat and mineral. Still very youthful, but opened up more and more in the glass. Very fruity and lush, but has the structure to develope more complexity with age. Drink now-2016. 89+ pts.

Solid. Should probably get better over the near term, but nothing really special right now. Good and very ripe fruit with a solid backbone, but it's pretty short and rustic on the finish.

Disappointing in the context of 15 Fourrier which is supposed to be great. Quite earthy on the nose and palate, and the fruit has faded.

Acker Pre-Auction Tasting Wines & In-Auction Dinner Wines (Zuma - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Bright and pure black and red cherry, modest spice, wonderful textures. Just entering its drinking window. Very nice.

Quite tight and unwelcoming at first, but rich cherries and plum fruit came through with time.

Big, rather funky wine, classic cherry and licorice character and on the meaty side of the spectrum. Hearty, old school wine.
