A little shy on the nose, spicy, red and dark fruit, elegant and fine with good depth. Good concentration of fruit, but quite structured still, good acidity and depth, but somewhat drying towards the long finish. Slowly drink up. 90-92

Some spice notes on the nose, very inviting. Palate is dark fruited, gives an impression of good density, the fruit is dark and slightly sweet and is just veering into cough-syrup territory. I liked this, though it is more dark and compact than elegant or nuanced. Racines with Charles, Mike C. and Yaacov.

This is coming in the zone now at 13 years - it is good to drink and no need to wait - it is starting to develop secondary notes. Darker colour, dark-fruited with the cola-note I associate with Morey. Performs at the level you would expect from a Village from a good producer in a very good vintage. May be lacks either the secondary development or acidic backbone/lift to qualify as an overachieving Village.

Translucent, but deep garnet. Nose is lively, if not very complex, forest floor, earth, slightly farm-yardy, red fruit, cerise. In palate, mid-weight, red cherries medium-bodied, lightly tannic. A decent villages.

Disappointing in the context of 15 Fourrier which is supposed to be great. Quite earthy on the nose and palate, and the fruit has faded.
