I have no idea how this held up so well. It got lost, and was destined for the vinegar pot. But I tasted before pouring, and decided it was for drinking. Nose shows apple, salt water, mineral, and mace and white pepper. Palate remains acidic and fresh, with lemon, green apple and sea water. Not showing age at all. Even still has spritz hints. This has me rethinking Txakoli.

Jasmine, lemon and fresh cut grass on the nose. Flavors of green apple, lemon and white peach. Light and fresh with a bright acidity and a spicy finish.

A very pleasing wine. Riesling-like flavours and body with interesting citrus-honey-grassy character. Slightly fizzy. Not cheap ($30 in Canada) but worth a try. Went well with clam linguine.

Local Basque wine with dinner in San Sebastian. First experience with this wine, or any from the region. Reminded me of a lighter version of an Alsatian wine (less perfume, lighter mouthfeel). Palate was green apples, grapefruits, white flowers, pears and lime zest. Great pairing with the local grilled cod - terrific summer wine - very inexpensive in Spain. Hve not seen this in the US

Some wines from a trip; 6/19/2014-7/2/2014: Very high accidity, it even felt bitter. Intense flowery, perfume nose. A bit simple/rustic. Very lively and even fizzy on the palate. Peculiar, has a distinct character. (B)

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2015-04; Odd grapes. (@ UW): In the bouquet some chalky minerals, citrus and nuts. On the palate old apples, salty minerals, some acidity and unpleasant bitterness in the finish.
