Shiny light gold color with a generous and persistent mousse. Modest intensity nose composed of complex brioche and roasted nut elements. Vibrant and tangy palate that seems to want more time before reaching its apex. Long finish. 5+11+16+9= 91

A blast with buds (Washington, DC): Bready, salty nose with honey and lemon. The palate shows lovely honeyed texture but zesty acidity. Bruised apple, bread dough, lemon cake, with chalky, flinty vibes as well. Very enjoyable.

Green apple 🍏 and more green apples.. wave after wave on the nose and palate.
Only when this Palmer & Co 2012 warmed up slightly did I get the brioche notes on what must have been my 4th glass!
Ultra fine bubbles was the highlight but the citrus and minerality was rather ubiquitous and lacked character.
Seems this Champagne house is unrelated to the incredible Margaux winemakers, Chateau Palmer, but instead was started in 1947 when 7 wine growers came together in the area of Montagne de Reims.

Golden straw in color. Rather deep, somewhat rich, with a suggestion of delicate smoke. Yeasty/bread. Quite substantial, and very enjoyable over three nights.

Le Tour de Champagne-Perswijn-Amsterdam-11/22-2021: not the finesse of the Jacquesson 744, but this champagne compensates with a classic firmness, a hint of yeast, good bitters, a very good citrus backbone and a aftertaste with the suggestion of a bit more in future.

This shows a strong flint sense of oak right out of the gate and it lingers into night three. Big tart apple expression. Clean feeling palate. Fairly tart on the finish in a distracting way. Consistent over three nights. This sort of shows maturity in the lack of aggressive bubbles and the lean palate feel. Not a lot of fruit density so I'm not sure you can age this until all that wood integrates. It's pretty good overall though. The tartness and oak are distracting somewhat but if you can just shut your mind off and go with it this is a nice bottle at a reasonable price.

Had this following DP 08 and before Senez CS73 02 and Telmont 75, and the Palmer 12 clearly stood out as the best for me. Really aproachable with some lovely development, fine texture and great balance. Worth stocking up on.

In a perfect drinking window right now! Was gifted this a week ago from a friend who picked it up at the Swedish state retail monopoly liquor store same day. Served as aperitif and with a meal of chicken breasts, braised in butter, tarragon and garlic, some cous cous, fried whole cauliflower and a salad of polka beet roots with feta cheese and a simple vinaigrette.
Toasty, creamy, perhaps even some milk chocolate; quite big and more robust than elegant, but all in one place and with a nice but short finish. Our French guest really liked this and thought it had a lot of fruit. I guess the dosage is not zero but what does it matter when the freshness and the lemon zing is there to balance things out. You could do a lot worse for a champagne in this price class!

Almond icing, pears, jasmine flowers, brioche and clementine on the nose.
Good structure on the palate with grape fruit bitterness and a fizzy, calm acid. Vanilla ice cream with pear sorbet, grape fruit and brioche. Lacks a little on the midpalate, it fades away too quickly in my opinion.
Maybe a bit too early. Needs more time in the cellar.

(Disgorged in May 2017, 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay) Light yellow colour with a greenish hue. Classic youthful nose showing fresh baked bread, citrus and minerals. Fresh acidity with a creamy citrus notes on the palate and a bit short finish driven by lemon acidity. Easy drinking champagne working very well as an aperitif in the warm sun, should evolve nicely with an extra decade of cellaring to bring out coffee and toasty notes. Best 2017-2032.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale golden to the eyes.
Brioche and luxurious stone fruits that sets this apart.
Good stuff and good minerality. Still quite tight on the finish but this has potential.
