Garnet color with just a hint of browning. Nose: Candied violets , forest floor, mild cedar, faint cinnamon bun. Palate: Very little fruit, medium body, medium+ tannins, medium+ acidity. Decent finish. Perhaps I should have opened this two or three years ago - it might have had more fruit to balance the tannins and the acidity.

Amber tinged ruby. Tar, dried roses and earth dominated nose. Not much fruit or sweetness and not too forgiving but think I would guess barolo blind. Denectly long finish but with some astringency. Drinkable for sure.

PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, pale garnet. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with aromas of classic Barolo scents of cherry, rose petal, tar, leather and spice. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, tannins are on the soft side but very present - medium+, medium body, medium intensity, 14.0% abv back label (13.5% front label - I'm feeling the back label is closer to the truth) with a medium+ finish. Overall a very nicely done entry level Barolo showing classic Nebbiolo characteristics with great complexity and length. Drinking well upon opening today but has the stuffing to go another 3-5 years easily.

Opened, poured into a decanter, and returned to the bottle after rinsing. Not much sediment. Ruby garnet color. Tasted with food (Apizza with bacon, and apizza margherita, in case you were wondering). Nice fresh nose with red berries and flowers. Tart bright intor with good acidity. Light in weight. The tart red berries are the primary element. Not much in the way of tannins. Opened up with additional exposire to air. Remained a light and fresh wine.
Tasted along with a 2013 Hobel Napa Cabernet.
13.5% abv. Quality cork.

On the nose flowers, roses, cherries, cranberry, hint of iron, mint and some chalk. Quite expressive. On the palate not as expressive, a bit thin, but better on the (long) finish Very fine tannins

Maybe this has aged long enough -- even in a constant temp wine fridge. Started to lose its smoothness, or it's this specific bottle. But it's my last one - no forth to compare with.

Light-medium red-orange in color. Cranberries, strawberries, chalk on the nose with a heavy whiff of alcohol. Red fruit on the palate. Pronounced tannins, medium+ acid. The tannins force a long finish. Reasonable value. Alcohol 13.5%.

Body has filled out since the last bottle drunk of this vintage 1 year ago. Most enjoyable. I intend to hold my last 2014 bottle for an additional year to see what happens.

Forward in style but quite elegant. Palate is dry but manageable. Finish a bit short and clipped showing the difficult vintage. We enjoyed this over a few nights, kept getting better

A lengthy decant given, and it was definitely needed to get this to open up. The nose is striking with above moderate intensity to the scents of dried rose petal, turned earth, leather, dried cherries and cranberries with scents of goji and hints of menthol, tea and resin. The palate has full-drying tannins that play against the high acidity. Overall light and lithe offering flavors of slightly dried red fruits, cherry, cranberry, goji and raspberry that come in stride with the notes of dried rose petal, leather, tobacco, earth, black tea and a hint eucalyptus. The finish is long and lingers with intensity.

Barolo notes but nothing special. Would probably have better 4 years ago.

Nice with burgers. Tannins nicely integrated, so it was ready. Fruit and acid were balanced and tasty. More fruit would have put it in the 90’s.

Dark garnet color. Cherry, tobacco, hint of iron, wood. Very dry, lighter mouthfeel, med minus finish. Ok with food, uninteresting on its own.

Light in color. Earthy, dirt, grass, herbs and greens. Later, spice, chocolate, floral and fruits. Good QPR. Good mid week wine.
