Robust red with lingering taste. I did not let it air well before hand. Drank two days later and it did not lose any quality. Should be able to hold well for several years.

Floral, bitter, red and fresh wild strawberry and sour cherry. Tannic. The combined sourness, bitterness, fruity and tannic steructure is hinting cranberry

The notes on this wine is so so. I think it deserves good notes though. It has a warm moth full of red fruit with a good tannin structure. The finish is long and very pleasant blackberry and woody notes come through. I feel it is a good QPR.

Lovely acid structure which are often present in Italian Sangiovese wines, which shows especially pleasant at lower temperatures (15-17°C).
The age is beginning to show with muted fruits. Unfortunately it hasn't developed too much else with age, which does leave it a bit lacking complexity.
When eating with too strong flavours it disappears, so drinking it with meat isn't recommended.

Farven meget flot dyb rød. Mere rubin end granat. Slet ikke blå. Meget skinnende. Duften pæn åben meget urter, lidt mørk frugt, men også tydeliig sangiovese, Tydelig stald. God kompleksitet. Også lidt modne noter.Lækker. Smagen lidt syrlig og med en tydelig bitterhed. Mangler frugt og virker som om den er tørret noget ud. Mørk i udtrykket. Mangler frugt. Der er meget tørstof i den og den fylder hele munden ud. Har både frugtsyre og tannin. Meget lang eftersmag. Havde virkelig været en stor vin, hvis frugten ikke var tørret noget ud.

The wine is okay. Like a €13 value Bordeaux. Some nice red fruit and cedar. Don’t know if I opened it too early or too late but it’s somewhat of a disappointment. And it’s probably the last time I’ll look at a James Suckling score (rated this 92-94p).

{organically farmed} A good value, as always, this offers a brightness of character, with well-placed notes of soil/forest/place. It took its time opening up, but with the purity and and structure at the moment, it's likely got some room to improve. recommended
Tight and tannic on opening, softened slightly to reveal some nice midpalate fruit and that great leathery, tobacco-y Tuscan finish. Has the stuffing to be really tasty at a nice QPR, but not there yet. I wish I'd let it sit another year or two.

Dark brick red --- Nose exciting, animating, elegant wood notes, chestnut, some nice sour tones, mahogany, dark fruit, some cherries --- Palate watery, nice acidity, more red fruit coming through, nice tartness, some plums, some red currant, some smoke, some ash--- Finishes on fruity and tart aspects, pretty strong minerals, ash --- Very elegant vine, shows so much potential, believe in a very promising development. Tasty already.

Fine weeknight Italian. A nice silky chassis to what could have been a textbook Chianti Classico style. More a food wine. Tomato-based pastas and antipasti.

Dark ruby garnet in color, bordering on opaque. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of dusty/earthy & dried herbs, spices, cocoa, minerals & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium bodied with good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with cocoa, spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the fruit and structure to continue developing with additional aging for a few more years although it appears to be meant for mid-term drinkability.

Winebar [4 Whites, 8 Reds, & 6 *shared* bottles] from 05/03/19 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Estate produced & bottled 80% Sangiovese (from Bòggina), 15% Merlot (from Galatrona), & 5% C.S. (from Campo Lusso); "Manual harvest in crates; Grape selection & sorting table; Natural vinification with native yeasts in concrete vats; Soft & frequent manual pumping over; Long macerations; Aged in FR oak barriques, partly in 40 Hl oak barrels, & partly in concrete vats;" 13% ABV, 5.39 g/l T.A., & 3.68 pH; 50,000 bottles produced.
N: ATTRACTIVE melding of berries & smoke; Intensity lurking?
P: LM body; NICE, almost swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which pretty much resolves by the LONG finish with a tangy/swtness & possible INCIPIENT quasi-bitter flatness to the minimal, very, VERY fine tannins. For now & the next 4 yrs? My VG+/EXC-; 95 pts Suckling, 93 WS, & 91 Vinous (Galloni). [This vendor's $22.95 is $1 < wine-searcher's lowest.]

Once the significant tannins subside, pleasant cherries, balsam and herbs come together in a middleweight, seamless way.
