A well-crafted pinot noir would show even better with more air than I could give it. This is well structured and could be aged up to 10 more years, in my opinion.

My penultimate bottle, certainly this once again delivers above its price point, a wine which could certainly go the distance, 10 years without breaking a sweat. I doubt my last bottle will last that long. Notes of bright red cherries, red florals, dried cranberries, fresh herbs, black tea, vanilla and forest floor. The palate is bright yet seductive with crunchy red fruit and sweet spices, the mid-palate is layered leading to a medium slightly spicy finish.

PnP. Had with grilled thicken thighs and black rice. aromaitic balck fruit. On the acidic, astringent side. Was enjoyable during/after dinner. Would not probably buy again as we like the roserock eola more around this same pricepoint.

Very similar to previous note, this is drinking really well right now. Bright red berryfruit, slight liquorice notes, cola, crushed stones, structure, lively acidity and a long finish. Compared to the Cristom a few weeks ago this is a step up.

I agree with 1arm on this one - it's a good "everyday" Pinot Noir: good fruit, judicious oaking, well integrated alcohol. An honest, tasty Pinot Noir for $20 is hard to find, but here it is. Still, I'm not sold on the rave reviews - while there's plenty to like here, I find little to fall in love with. It is neither florally pretty nor impressively structured, just a very good all-rounder. Happy to have had it, but wouldn't seek it out. 13.7%, $20.

90 pts

Much more red-fruited than I normally find in PG (or Oregon) wines. Perhaps my least favorite PG wine because of this, but it is lean, well-balanced and fresh. Plenty of spice on the mid-palate. Excellent value - but then all PG wines are a good value.

While I have not tasted the vineyard-designated wines of Patricia Green from this vintage, it can be said that this vineyard-blended offering is a stellar example of synergy. Loaded with red fruit on both the nose and palate, it adds notes of clementines, rosemary, anise and coriander. Medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (13.7%) and softly oaked, it retains excellent density in the middle and finishes medium-to-long. This is an impressive Pinot that, at this price, is one to purchase by the case. Drink now-2028.

I've had the privilege of drinking many of Patty Green's wonderful pinots over the years and have learned to love virtually all of the wines produced by this winery. Generally, the Reserve is wonderful value. This wine however, has not been my favorite of the Reserve lot over the years. Slightly lean with much tension. This pinot has yet to showcase its fruit. Muted nose of tea and cola with a hint of red fruit. Taste is much the same. Tannin are present, although not overwhelming leading me to hope that after a few years this will be a more balanced wine. That having been said, Patty Green Reserve is still a great value!

Solid 90+ and one of the better Pinot's I've had! Not a huge fan of Pinot's - but I'll buy a few more for sure! We did this with 4 couples as a blind sampling - but both were 2018 Patricia Green's (same wine - wink)....the only difference was one was chilled and one was room temp. The chilled won across the board! Sure - it was a nice warm day in Colorado - but hey - worth a try in the summer...chill it a bit - it was fantastic!

A little too rich and sweet for my taste. Much better after another two months, the fruit has calmed done and integrated nicely into the wine. All in all a nice QPR.

Candied cherry and raspberry fruit. Sweetish without actually being sweet. Soft, smooth tannins. Good acidity and a puckering tartness on the end gives it a long finish.
The PG Reserve has been a great wine for the last several vintages. I can’t believe I’ve never written a note on it before. I’ve only had one other PG Pinot. It was at a wine bar in Portland. It was also very good. I believe it was bottled exclusively for the bar. Wish I could remember its name.

Transparent with notable purple and blue throughout. The nose is very reductive of purple licorice, blueberry, violets, and a whiff of alcohol (13.7% noted). The palate is tightly wound with firm medium plus tannin and medium acid. Not really my preferred style of pinot.

Taste New Wines for February (San Diego Wine Co.): “The Willamette Valley P.N. bottling ‘Reserve’ is almost entirely made up of barrels that simply were not included in a more prestigious bottling. Excellent pinot noir from Patricia Green. Tasted during a large dinner at a friend's house so I lack detailed notes, but this is a very impressive effort. Young, most intense fruit than I expected, good acidity and relatively long finish. Look forward to more of these.

Crazily price Pinot Noir from Patricia Green, I am surprised how they produce such a high-quality Pinot Noir for the price. Aromas of redcurrant, raspberries, cherries, pomegranates black tea leaves and floral notes the palate is all about the ripe crunchy red berries, cranberry, pomegranate, red currents along with bright acidity and well-structured tannins, the finish is surprisingly rich and has you going back to the glass for another sip.
Ripe, more grapey than I expected on the nose. Pommegranite & macerated cherry, with a hint of floral. Palate is weighty with a pure fruit expression, and a hint of fresh oak on the finish.

Nice balance of fruit, spice, and earth, with nice acidity and mouthfeel. We like this better than the 2017, which got accolades from the critics. It should get even better with some age.
