Maybe a bit past peak but still enjoyable. Aromas of black berries, fig tobacco leaf and minerals. Strong musty earth smell. Super dry with medium acidity and tannin still present with a long peppery finish. Still a decent amount of fruit present but died after a couple hours. I would PnP if anyone is still holding and it needs to be consumed quick!

What a difference from the last bottle. I could not believe this wine could be so bad. This one is much more typical. But you should drink these pretty soon. I don't see it getting much better. I have no idea what could have happened to the previous bottle. Light, sweet red fruit. A juiciness that is really delicious.

PNP. Very good to start with cherry, raspberry, and black pepper; thick texture and integrated tannins. Went from very good to great with food: eggplant, tomato, thyme, and garlic over pasta. Would like to do it again.

Rich, concentrated and intense. Deep, dark red in color. Candied apple notes with abundant spice influences. Complex with a lot going on in the glass. A bit cloying at first but settled down with additional air. The richness of the fruit predominates. This clearly shows the ability to lay down many more years. Deep red fruits with richness and mouth filling capacity.

Unique, served together with an 08 Pintia and an 09 Bobet and was most of the ten at dinner's favorite. Complex, fooled everyone as to source, in a group that has been getting them wrong for 29 years anyways. Definitely worth it.

Dark red. Spicy menthol, tobacco, and earthiness on the nose. Very much cherry and red raspberry with some mineral and grilled herb fruit flavors. Very structured, clearly still early in the drinking window and should continue to hold up for years to come. Complemented a steak and cheese sub. Nicely done , great balance, lots of interesting and subtle components.

Very concentrated and intense fruit with dense cherry and spiced blackberry aromas and some smoke and leather on the nose intermingle with some camphor and pepper. The palate shows great intensity of fruit with spiced raspberry, blackberry, and pressed currant with a dose of pepper and firm tannins. Finish shows more dark and red fruits when some Christmas spice. I love this wine!

Decanted on hour, drunk over next two. Pleasant at first, over the evening it really opened up and at the end was drinking very well, with bright and juicy red fruits. Pleasant nose, clean finish, the palate was the star. Still on the upslope at the end of the evening, needs a lot of air to shine but a really excellent bottle.

Thunderous bright red and black fruit aromas. Red licorice. Coconut oil. Full body, refreshing medium acid. Polished fruit palate. Not unlike Antoine Arena Morta Maio, sans the red apple note. Again bright and fresh aromas.

Gorgeous wine. We opened and allowed to sit an hour before drinking (it definitely needed more time....it kept improving and changing while in the glass). We noticed the oak on the nose initially, but it seemed very well balanced on the palate. Eventually, earth and dark, rich berries dominated the nose. Sweet tannins that continued to soften up the longer it sat in the glass.

Decanted for 4 hours before dinner (it needs it). Notes from memory. Dark black/purple color. Sour cherry, nail polish, blackberry on nose - sour cherry came only with air time. On palate medium+ body, still fruit primary - black cherry / sour cherry / dusty with great mouthfeel (enough acids to handle the fruit) and a long finish with sweet tannins. Went great with coffee rubbed NY Strips. 93+ - if drinking now decant for a long time. Will buy more.

Opened for an hour. Medium rubi color. Not much fruit on nose, varnish, aromatic bush, balsamic, orange peel, burnt sugar and cinnamon... this nose is so weird, it keeps changing as time goes by... where's the fruit? On palate I guess... it's fruity, smooth, no hard edges whatsoever although some tannins are still noticiable with a sweet finish. This had us all puzzled. It's more approchable than previous vintages but yet it shows so different. 89-90

This is a wine that I absolutely adore but this bottle was undrinkable. Chemical notes, spoiled fruit, what is going on here? Obviously flawed.
