Zero expectations here, and I am now on the hunt for more. Absolutely killer and (evidently) a wonderful QPR.
Didn’t know what type of profile to expect here, but I (incorrectly) assumed it would be somewhere in the middle and while pleasant enough, nothing to write home about. What I found was a wine that reminds me an awful lot of Domaine de la Bongran’s EJ Thevnet (all time favorite of mine), yet dialed back just a touch. Light gold in the glass, big aromatics of ripe peach, yellow fruits, and a dash of baking spice. Texturally is leans bigger, but the finish snaps back with great acidity. Lemon cream, golden raspberries, limestone and a vibrant finish. Whereas the Bongran has a touch of sweetness, this has more of a small perception of sweetness. Loved it.

Appearance: Clear, medium lemon. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of stone fruit - apricot, tropical fruit - mango, bread, and chamomile. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium + body with a creamy mouth-feel, medium intensity, 13.5% abv with developing flavors of apricot, chamomile, and mango with a medium + finish.
Balance: Excellent Length: Excellent Intensity: Very good Complexity: Very good
Overall, an excellent wine showing excellent balance and length. Consumed over 2 days with little difference between day one and two. This is drinking well today but has the backbone to drink well for 5+ years.

Clear pale lemon colour in the glass. Hint of sweetness with Pineapple, lemon curd and cream on the nose. Multilayered with interesting elements; the palate did not disappoint with a lovely round and soft mouthfeel, aroma characteristics following through to the palate, found a long creamy finish. Shows restrained oaky elements and fantastic balance; wow this wine impressed for the price. Drinking beautifully now.

[Tasted Double Blind] This pours light gold in the glass. The nose is of underripe pineapple, mango, banana, and woodsy spice. The palate enters on the mango and banana lending good mid-palate richness, turning to nice medium acidity that freshens up a vaguely tropical profile. The finish fizzles out rather quickly. Really not much here in the way of a mineral profile or "soil signature". Upon reveal I wasn't super surprised as this is not a producer I've enjoyed a whole lot in the past.

Drinking excellently and textbook for the appellation, perhaps with some additional creamy character speaking to a warmer vintage. Paired excellently with escargot, niçoise salad, truffle frites, and good company at a dinner. Split among 4 people; I had 1/4 bottle.
I don't sense that this will gain much with aging and suspect that eventually the acid spine will remain with some fading or evolution of the creaminess mentioned above. I doubt that will bring anything particularly positive to the wine and it at least has the potential 4 or more years from now to detract from it.
Very well done.

Opened this at Tunglok Signature (Orchard Rendezvous Hotel) with my best friend from my university days. We had Pan-seared French Foie Gras with Sliced Roast Irish Duck, Deep-fried Tiger Prawn with Supreme Soya Sauce, Crisp-Fried Cod, Pan-fried Spanish Iberico Pork, Pan-seared Beef Tenderloin, Crispy Rice with Fresh Crab Meat in Superior Broth, and Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera topped with Lychee Sorbet.
Pale, straw yellow with a greenish hue. Razor-sharp focus with fresh acidity on the nose and palate. Unripe lemons, fresh pineapples, granny smith green apples, baked fruit tarts, with a creamy mouthfeel.
Long lingering finish. Delicately balanced with freshness leaving the drinker wanting for more. A wonderful, wonderful wine.

I'd been wanting to try a Pouilly-Fuisse for a while and saw a number of insane ratings for this online. Ended up seeing it for a good price in a local shop and decided to give it a try - absolutely fantastic. Straw yellow with a golden tinge, lemon curd, baked apple, peach, pineapple, yellow flowers on the nose. On the palate my girlfriend and I immediately made a "ooohhhh" sound. The acidity was there, but extremely tamed. It had a perfect roundness on the mid palate, not flabby or flat, but rather luscious and flavorful. Lots of baked apple, lemon zest and exotic fruits coming through with great balance and enjoyable mouthfeel. Paired with creamy chicken-tomato soup with italian herbs and garlic bread.

meyer lemon, pear, honeysuckle, medium body, low acidity, new oak, touch of mineral, anise, quinine on the medium-long finish. More ripe or warmer vintage style. Very nice but not the best value. I’m not confident this will age well either. No added complexity emerged with air over three days in the fridge

Wines like this make me question my Jancis Robinson subscription. A terse description and 15 points. I loved this over two nights. Yes, it is ripe with tropical and baked apple and citrus notes, but the balance is impeccable, no flab, and a very nice, long finish. Really nice stuff.
Fair value to good QPR at $40 USD. Hoping this gets discounted locally as vintages move forward, fingers crossed. 13.5% abv

Pretty full and luscious wine — lime skin, some notes that trend towards more tropical notes, some signs of well integrated oak on the front end and the finish. Really nice citrus drive in the mid-palate that keeps it balanced. Very good.

This has good fruit and acidity and, to my palate, not burdened or overshadowed by oak that some commenters seem to find. Drinking well now and a pretty good deal here in Tokyo for (approx.) $35.
Having said that, I don't understand the 97 point evaluation given by Decanter. It's a good chardonnay, but for me, not outstanding. I believe a 97-point white wine needs to be memorable and should deliver the “wow” factor of a Chave Hermitage or Kongsgaard Judge, for example.

Medium lemon in color. The nose is ripe and of pronounced intensity. Notes of pineapple, papaya, passion fruit and coconut. I get no orchard fruits but maybe a little lemon. Some toasty oak as well. The palate is rich and clearly from a very ripe, tropical vintage, but it opens up. It is concentrated, lush, layered, mouth coating, textured, complex, and delicious. Dry, bright and almost endless finish. This is for white burgundy drinkers who want to scratch the itch for a little bit of California chard in their wine. I’d love to put this on a blind with Sandhi and Liquid Farm and see all the head scratching. Cheers & Happy Sunday!

The initial notes of strong oak notes is a bit off putting for me as I tend to avoid heavily oaked Chardonnay.
After an hour it starts to open up with with spice, lemons, honeysuckle. The acidity is there to support the full body structure of the wine.
It drinks well, but I was hoping for a racy Pouilly Fuisse and this to me is more like a well made California Chardonnay. It didn’t quite hit the spot for me, and it’s disappointing as I bought a few bottles based on recommendations.

Pale lemon colour. Medium and developing nose with yellow apples, peach, ripe lemon, yellow plums, charred wood, butter and wet stone. Medium taste of yellow apples, ripe lemon, peach, charred wood and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Pouilly-Fuissé that feels colder and leaner compared to the 2016 vintage. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with cheeses, fish, shellfish or spicy food.

This is a delicious Chardonnay from Burgundy. Creamy and fat.
Dry on the palate with medium plus acidity.
Full bodied and smooth.
Showing citrus, lemons, apples, pears, light earth, herbs, minerals and spices.
Tangy finish with limes and spices.
This 5 year old is showing nice complexity. Well balanced, really easy to drink, and enjoyable by itself. Better after 30 minutes of airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next few years.
Aged in 70% French oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
$50.
