Again giving this a 94. Solid pinot in the American style, with cherry (not too bright, in which case I'd hate it), touch of sour, touch of cola, slight balsamic after two hours. Priced right for the quality and on par with the best Burgs at this price.

Strong initial alcohol, cola flavors, and bright berries mellowed after an hour. Still too bright/cola for my preference in pinot, but well made in this style.

The notes below nail this wine. I opened this last week and finished tonight. I’m not a big Pinot drinker but this is one of the more memorable Pinots I’ve had.

Ripe cherry fruit with notes of rhubarb, raspberries, licorice and herbs. Full bodied, tannic that benefits from a 30 minute+ decant. Super complex with hints of earth notes on the finish…this is a very well made Pinot Noir.

Drinking beautifully right out of the bottle. Deep rooted notes of Kirsch, Coca Cola, and Star Anise. Well integrated tannins with bright acidity on the finish. So good!!

One hour double decant. Deep rosy magenta color. Raspberry, black cherry, blueberry, limestone, orange rind, and subtle baking spice on the nose. Dry, fine velvety palate, with tongue coating acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
This will likely keep improving. Among the better Cali Pinots I’ve ever had.

Extremely complex ripe red berry character — red currant, strawberry, cranberry, cherry. Rich, deep and concentrated, with a long finish. Strong backbone for further aging, but drinking great now. Well balanced.
Exceptional wine, everyone agrees.

Delicious. Opened at restaurant so no real time to open up but that was ok though it got better as the night went on. Loads of fruit but not jammy or thick. Smooth finish. Enjoyed with duck breast and sea bass.

Young, but opened nicely with air. An incredibly poised, everything in proportion American pinot. Nice dark fruit, blood orange/warm spice notes, no jamminess, integrated structure - lovely. Really lovely.

A wonderfully well-crafted Pinot!!! An hour decant wasn't enough, give it two and enjoy. Ruby color with a beautiful blue hue on the rim. You can taste the quality with each sip.

Saturated slightly saline red and blue fruits supported by substantial structure. Has great intensity and a very nice slightly exotic finish. Needs a year or two, or a good decant to fully enjoy now. Upside potential here.

Really excellent (especially with several hours of air). Ripe black cherry, juicy strawberry, slight earthiness and spice. It has a very dense weight to it but the freshness gives it lift. Still needs time and has potential for a higher score.
NYWE great nose, blood orange, sweet strawberry, sage. nice dark bright style comes accross fresh bright with nice spicy edge. good flavor profile hard red sour candy elements. love the brightness here. good purity. double decsnted fir 2 hours.
was an apple orchard on sandy marls top soil with deep clay. planted 2002. 1 bottle per vine. Burgundy clone from DRC. mark's favorite clone. destem, optical sort every berry, 30 days maceratioon then to barrels for 10 months. then blend & bottle.

Delicious. Opened for about 90 minutes before drinking. Enjoyed with a ground turkey & cabbage stir fry. Wine had perfect balance between fruit and tannins, good aroma, easy to drink

Popped and poured with some tuna poke nachos and sesame crusted halibut with coconut rice. The nose is very floral with dried fruit undertones. On the palette it’s a bit more fruity with strawberries and dried cherries blended with hibiscus flowers. Medium body and finish with translucent rusty red earth color. Really a differentiated Pinot construction to the William Selyem template while meaningfully different to a Rhys. Quite enjoyable and drinking approachable right now.

Medium-dark ruby red in color. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & plums with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, spices, some minerals, herbs & a touch of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, minerals, some herbs & a hint of vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present although it does has potential for & will benefit from further development with additional aging.

Marc Aubert hits it out of the park with the 2018 UV Vineyard Pinot Noir is dark red, almost black at the core. Red cherries, licorice, and herbs--a perfect combination of the rich fruit and savoriness you get from the best Sonoma Coast Pinot Noirs. You can drink this today with an all day slow-ox, but this will be even better in a few years.

Popped and poured this on and it’s drinking nicely. Light bodied with a translucent color of brown and cherry red. On the nose it’s very floral with some red fruit tones. Minerals are mostly absent and in the rear but thinking it shows up upon breathing for a bit (we just couldn't wait). Enjoyed this effort putting it in the middle of the pack to higher end William Selyem efforts.
