Wow, I've had this wine (vintage unknown) though a couple of restaurant purchases, and I don't recall them as delicious as this. Good fruit and acid balance invites another sip.

Very light and bright at first opening. Agree with some reviews claiming earthiness, acidic. I let it sit overnight, it seemed to open up just a bit more, almost like smoked cherries and apples on the front with deeper red fruits in the back. Pretty fair wine, would recommend trying.

Nothing obviously flawed or offensive in this wine, but it was pretty uninspiring. It’s serviceable as a middle of the road Sangiovese to serve with pizza, but not much more. Certainly not one to go stock up on.

PnP from the wine fridge. Slightly dusty earthiness on the nose and bright in the glass, initial taste was acidic especially mid palate. Another review found this wine evolved significantly overnight, becoming much more fruit forward and approachable. Tomorrow it is.

Slight bouquet, medium body, tannic, earthy, good fruit, by the end of the bottle it lacked a bit of intensity, a good value, drank with spinach ravioli with eggplant, tomatoes, zuchini and mushrooms, oops ratatouille, will drink again, might develop some heft with aging. WS score is perplexing.

I decanted my Brancaia two hours prior to dinner and served it with Meatloaf and Garlic Mashed Potato's. The wine has hint's of Tobacco, Bell Pepper and a bit of Vanilla on the finish. The color is deep purple. The wine did not develop much in three hours, and the finish was a bit earthy for my taste. 12/29 follow up. I tasted the remainder of the Brancaia the following day and it had made an excellent transformation. The wine was very fruity and approachable. I guess it needs time or a days worth of decanting. I will def purchase some more.

Christmas Eve Italian blind tasting. Paired with manicotti, paccheri, and homemade Sunday gravy - with BVP meatballs, hot and sweet sausage, short rib, lamb neck. overall favorite of the night and beat out a 2007 brunello and a 2012 aglianico.

A reliably fun wine. The family loved it. Spicy red and black cherries with violets and tobacco. Fun, fresh, juicy with savory spices, soy tones, tobacco, over top of juicy red cherries. Reliably fun and quite complex.

Brancaia's 2019 iteration of Tre is a medium-to-deep ruby blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Uncorked, poured and serially tasted over the ensuing hour, it delivers an attractive combination of juicy raspberry and cherry fruit that is accented with allspice, black olive tapenade, tobacco and loamy earth. Medium-bodied, softly oaked, seamlessly alcoholic (13.5%) and with supple tannins, it retains good presence in the middle and closes with a medium-length, well-lifted finish. Don't be fooled by this wine's low sticker price. It is very well-crafted and drinks significantly above its pay grade. It might have shown even better had it been splash-decanted and given additional aeration time. Drink now-2028.

Saw this on a thin list with friends, and suggested we go for it. They all liked it. Still a wine that delivers some interesting flavors and seems likeable across the board and all sorts of palates. With big plates of pasta and a sunset - fun times.

Dark berry fruit, dark plums, all spice, saffron, vanilla, nutmeg and smoke. The palate is fresh, bright and easy with crunchy fruit, slightly chewy tannins and a medium savoury finish.

Nice, clean taste. Did well with pizza, even better by itself afterwards. Time to breathe helps.

Really good stuff for the money. Bright, but not with a lack of depth. The 20% of Cab and Merlot give that Sangio good "oomph." Tasty with food.

Très bon ce 2018
Pas décanté. Une bonne valeur sûre. Vaut son prix et meilleur que beaucoup de vins de Toscane. Molto bene

Easy drinking but with some fruit, herbs and easy tannins.
