A good Chardonnay with apples, pears, spice, bold oak. Modern in style, lots of oak used here, but overall well-balanced in its boldness. Shows some maturity - but no rush here.

Wow, I really like this! Very soft mouthfeel. More like starfruit than lemon...reminds me of a good Bordeaux Blanc. Seashells and white flowers, too. Long finish. Any oak is very subtle. This is a great QPR for Chardonnay.

Great QPR. Think I paid $15 at a huge zachys sale. Burgundy via Argentina. Not flashy but nice creamy white fruits, touch of lemon curd, medium finish. Very well done and particularly for the price.

Third of 3 consumed. This wine is actually pretty incredible for the price. 20 bucks for this wine? Umm. Yes please. This wine could stand up to a really good RRV Chard at 3x the price. Pear and peach, light pour. A little herbal, a bit acidic but could be enjoyed both alone and with food (in this case, Chicken fajitas). I will be pursuing a case of this without any question. If it wasn't for the fact that this bottle is quite rotund at the base and is a bit hard to store in a standard 50-bottle wine chiller without some issues (very first world problem I know). This needs to be in anyone's lineup without a doubt.

PnP. Has with baked lemon/herb steelhead Trout. Wife and I continue to enjoy these. I would say this is a low risk chardonnay to open for dinner patio sipper for folks that may not be into chardonnay (meaning it has broad appeal). Good aromatics, nice citris (lemon curd) mid weight, testy on the tongue. Short/vanishing finishing is only nit pick, but at this price point ($23) no complaints and would buy again. good value.
Will be interesting to try the 2019 and see how it compares to the 2018.

Medium lemon colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with peach, yellow apples, ripe lemon, vanilla, butter, charred wood and smoke. Medium (+) taste of yellow apples, ripe lemon, peach, vanilla, charred wood, butter and honey. Long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium body. A very good Argentinian Chardonnay on the oaky side, with great QPR. Needed half an hour to open. Drink now. Goes well with cheeses, fish, shellfish or spare ribs.

Not a great deal to add to the March 2021 tasting note. Softened a little, continues to drink well and, as noted previously, should dev well over the next 4/5 years.

Ripe apple, tropical, and toast nose with a slight rubbery note. Lush, round palate with appropriate acidity to balance; ripe, toasty, integrated finish. 3.5/5
on a hot winter day for Friday happy hour, this tasted amazing when we hosted guests...granted we were using Riedel Cab vinums but it was super linear with the nice amount of fruit, lemony/grapefruit citrus and elegance...showed really well and very pure and pristine!
Reliable Chardonnay: pear, cauliflower, apricot, tropical fruit, minerals, soft vanilla, medium round, nice long finish, great value for money. Han and Ly over for diner.
92/93. An impressive original lightly oxidised minerally lightly vaniila dusted Argentinian Chardonnay. Has lovely depth and length. Wonderful value on offer at under 16 Euros. 13.5%. Lay down 5 years.
A nicely balanced wine, and pretty for the style, but the prominent wood, low acidity and rich candied fruit are not what I'm looking for in a Chard. For fans of the style I can see the appeal and this should prove a good value.

Mildly buttery without being overwhelming like Rombauer can be. Good. Recommended. Only annoyance is the oversize reserve bottle, which is hard to fit in my cellar. Will rebuy.
Transparent yellow color. Aromas of stone fruit and a bit of wood. Medium body with medium-to-medium-low acid. Rich bright fruits on the front -- lemon, pear, a long with a little spice on the finish. A bit one-dimension and lacking in mid-palate depth, but tasty and at a good price point.
Bold, beautiful Chard that reminds me of the best of California with its ripeness and Burgundy with its elegance and length. Stone fruit and Oak notes stand out, this wine evokes Meursault with its power. Long, long finish. Cellar worthy. Wow.
QPR 7.5(of 10)

From Gualtallary. Beautifully fragrant, elegant, refined, and complex with minerality, nut, and mealy aromas accented with ripe orchard fruit, apple, pear, lemon citrus, and a touch of honey. On the dry, medium-full bodied palate it is creamy and spicy with bright acidity. It is lightly honeyed with baked apple, lemon citrus, mineral, and mealy with some nutty tones on the flavour profile. Nicely textured on the mid-palate. Long, juicy, and succulent on the finish with lingering minerally and leesy notes. Gorgeous!
I agree with other reviewer lots of hype and its good but doesn’t live up to hype its decent well balanced slight oak, Apple nice acidity very well balanced but didn’t blow me away. Guess its a good QPR which results in higher ratings and hype.
Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine.
Lots of hype about this bottle. I expected mine to open and pour itself. Putting this aside, it was a decent bottle, reminiscent of a Calif chard. Good balance of sharpness and richness.
Very nice balance of oaky baking spice and cream elements with the green apple and lemon notes so that they weren’t overwhelming. Nice body and finish. Nice value from Wine Access and would buy again under $20
Pretty interesting, had decent butter and oak notes but also nice brightness and salinity to balance it out. Developed nicely in the glass after being a bit too oaky up front for me
Excellent wine. Delicious. This wine has a delicate touch that reminds me of a good, artisanal Pinot Grigio. There’s a beautiful lightness —that I don’t think will age well—but is gorgeous to drink today. This is not a big, buttery chard. With the right foods, amazing.
Medium-yellow color with excellent clarity. Floral aroma, peach and golden delicious apples on the nose. Apple, peach, pear, and light oak flavors. Well balanced; not too oaky. Smooth mouthfeel. Overall very good.
I did not enjoy this wine. It was grassy and herbaceous, the oak treatment was heavy-handed, and it had an odd candied note to it. Nonetheless, the fruit was vibrant, with lemon and passionfruit prominent. Was it good QPR? Probably. But stylistically, this was all over the place.
This is delicious, tropical fruit, lychee /papaya on nose, but not overstated, delicately perfumed. On taste lovely buttery/nut, bit like blackened butter mixed with tropical fruit, and yet refreshing.
Explosion of fruit flavors first sip. Got better with every sip. I will try aerating next bottle. Not a 97 point wine, however, definitely worth the $20.00 for 91 in my mind.
4th Saturday Group: Uptown Brown Bag (MM’s): Double blind. Aromas of apple, light toast, mineral and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied. Flavors of apple, vanilla and marshmallow with good underlying acidity. Guessed Sonoma Coast chard.

Lemon flesh colored Banana, some oak and vanilla, floral notes. Mellon. Dry, nice acidity. Tastes like the nose but subdued. . Integrated flavors. Long finish. Very well made wine. Punches way above its weight class. Case worthy. Drank relatively cold.
Light+ intense nose of ripe lemon, wet stone, kernel.
Slight bitterness on the palate, reminding me of grapefruit. Toasty oak notes come through with some air.
Round mouthfeel but a bit flabby on the finish. Medium alcohol, light+ body, light+ acidity. The lower acidity makes the alcohol come through in the short-ish finish.
It’s not bad but I would like more balance and complexity.
Day 2: kernel notes have softened and now getting underripe melon skin and apricot on top of the lemon. Alcohol seems better integrated than yesterday but still coming through more than I’d like. Seems like this will improve with some bottle age.
Very pale; orchard fruit, very linear, peach pit, austere, clear oak influence. Curious as to age worthiness(?). An unknown as to whether or how this might round out,
Pale straw colored, flinty bouquet, very subtle honeysuckle, subtle tangelo. Sweet lime comes out on tongue with minerality. Short finish. The description above appears rather uninspired. Yet, the wine is delightful: old-world Chardonnay minerality with a pleasingly tight finish. Quite nice!

N: Light nose with hints of fruit, oaky nut and wood, and just a hint of butter. On the palate, it's got pear and apple that infuses through the retronasal passage. It's got body and complexity, and feels balanced with medium acidity and a pleasant warmth. "This was the first Chardonnay that I've truly enjoyed," Max commented.
Pale yellow in the glass with a nose of honeydew, white flowers and apple. Sweet and full in the mouth, juicy and balanced. Flavors of white peach, white flowers, apple and mandarin orange give way to a lengthy finish highlighted by very slight oak and butterscotch. Drinking nicely.

Gold, very reminiscent of a California Chard. Buttery, ok acid, decent mouth feel and length. I like it, decent for the price. Would think a crowd pleaser
Medium gold in the glass. Robust nose of yellow flowers and peach. Full of flavor: nectarine, late summer cut grass, hint of clove. Tilted towards buttery oak but enough acidity to keep it lively. Long finish, delicious at first but becomes a bit sour. Very CA feel, not like a white Burgundy. This is a very nice chard and excellent QPR.
92/93. This is spherical and complex. I can also see the Vin Jaune connotations. It has aromas of stone fruits, spice, vanilla hints, a bit of rancio. Its medium to full bodied nicely complex and fullish, nicely oaked buttery and a bit salty stone fruits palate has lovely depth, freshness and length. 13.5%. Improves with every sip. Lay down 3-4 years. Needs 90 mins aeration to fill out, before that is an 89. I can't see this being a 97 but this is excellent QPR at 20 Euros.
Heaviest glass bottle I can recall on an under $20 wine. Other than that it’s pleasant but unremarkable. At cellar temperature it exhibits limited fruit and finish. Not overly oaked. Opens a bit as it warms to room temperature with more complexity and finish. Priced right - ok value.
Medium lemon. Pronounced butter, spice, curry, pepper, vanilla nose. Certainly got the acidity of this wrong in October, high acidity. Similar palate with stone fruits and green apples. Well balanced, full bodied, medium finish. Very good wine with ageing potential for next 4/5 years.
Rich, but with lots of deep fruits of pear and apricot laced with vanilla. Some oak, but not overpowering. Well balanced, but could use a little more acidity.
dry, not oaky or buttery (which I usually prefer) with light vanilla and citrus, with a fresh and crisp finish. Very enjoyable. The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit, pear and vanilla. The body is light. The wine finishes short. The wine has high acidity.
Excellent Argentinian effort. More French style but perhaps with a little more oak than French white burgundies. Touch of lemon curd, though not sweet. Medium-bodied. $19.99 at Costco. Glad we tried it, we did like it but there are just as good domestic Chards for a few bucks less...very crowded market for Chards in the $10-20 range and you have to have something that stands out (price, quality, different method) which this does not have.
Medium-full bodied, fairly pale colored, lower acidity. Fruit forward with tropical pineapple and bitter melon. Buttery mid-palate, with subdued minerality at the end. Worked well with breaded white fish. More new world style than I prefer, though I can see the appeal and it does have a nice level of complexity.
Medium lemon in color. Nose of ripe citrus, apple, butter, charred oak and a hint of sherry. Dry, full bodied, medium low acid, medium plus alcohol. It feels sticky on the palate. Somewhat cloying. The oak is a bit overwhelming and it needs more acid to balance out the weight. Decent length on the finish. Better than the last two reds I've had from El Enemigo.
One off purchase ($23.99) from the big box wine store about 3 months ago, after being on the waiting list for this for a while. On the nose and palate, fairly assertive but not unpleasant oak and caramel with subtler notes of orchard and tropical fruits, some white flowers and a bit of minerality and salinity. Lightish yellowish gold, medium bodied, medium legs. Light+ acidity, no heat. Light-ish complexity, persistence and intensity. I don't drink much Argentinian wine (and S. American wine generally, despite a great trip there which included wine tasting via bicycle in the Mendoza area), so I was intrigued, particularly by the rave 97 from Suckling (a persistent over-grader IMO, but 97 is 97), and more meaningfully, a 93 from my wine drinking pal--and more accurate grader--A_M--of the '17 of this bottling. This very pleasant, reasonably priced and highly quaffable wine suffered from those expectations, while being right about where it should be with its pedigree. Nothing is out of place here, even if I'd wish the oak slightly less, the fruit and acidity slightly more. It works well with food of several sorts and well without, and having it open over 4 days, it held up as well as day 4 as out of the bottle, even if didn't develop (and the oak didn't particularly integrate). Solid+ and would consider a repeat buy, but as I've noted, there's price compression going on in the world of new world chards, and this falls below bottlings I've enjoyed in the past year in the same price range from Anaba, Dutton-Goldfield and Camino, well below the single vintage Ram's Gate and the Hanzell, and don't even get me started with Aubert (but then, at 3-4x the price, if this were close, something would be really wrong, IMO). In its drinking window pretty much as a PnP, but should hang in well for several years. 89-90
Understated, exhibiting great balance overall. While I would have personally preferred a little more acidity, this seemed to be a good foil for a variety of dishes nevertheless. 13.5% ABV. 89-90+
Good wine especially for the price. Thoughtful without much oak or vanilla, despite its new world Napa style. A little light with regard to flavor profile and density--straw, grapefruit, lemon, kiwi
Unique and complex Chardonnay. Nose is reminiscent of a California Card - buttery, baked pineapple some honeysuckle. The taste echos the baked pineapple, butterscotch. What makes this wine unique is a finish that has a bit of funk, tang, and almost salty elements. Mildly creamy mouthfeel.
Full-bodied, The wine looks yellow gold colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like fig, banana, guava, melon and diacetyl (butter). It tastes like orange, fig, lychee and banana. The body is medium/full. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.
Medium lemon colour. Medium (+) nose with peach, yellow apples, butter, charred wood, lemon, smoke, honey and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of yellow apples, pear, butter, charred wood, oak, vanilla, honey and wet stone. Long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium body. A very good Argentinian Chardonnay on the oaky side. Great QPR! Drink now or over the next couple of years. Needed two hours of air to shine. Goes well with cheeses, fish or shellfish.

A little more body than some previous, but still light to medium body. Nice balance and acidity. Seems to be bottle inconsistency from this producer. Still, a nice with for the price.
This Chardonnay is very unique, in its fermentation a layer of flor yeast is encouraged that provides an additional spicey note to the taste. On the nose one is treated to lemon and citrus fruit. On the toung a well balanced mouth feel, the acids and fruit dance on the tounge in a beautiful dance with accents of spice like white pepper and mineral notes. The finish is long with tight and fine tannins. I was hoping for a little more buttery feel at the end but over all a good QPR. Recommended, maybe a creamier finish if bottle aged for a few years. Not opening it would be the hard part it is so good.
Medium lemon colour. Medium (+) nose with peach, butter, charred wood, lemon, honey and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of pear, lemon, butter, charred wood, oak, vanilla, honey and wet stone. Long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium body. A very good Argentinian Chardonnay, like a well made Californian Chardonnay, but much higher QPR. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Needed an hour of air to integrate, even better after two hours. Goes well with cheeses, fish or shellfish.

Very unusual and certainly a mix of styles that’s hard to pin. An element of that Riesling running stream / minerality on the nose with some tropical notes . Butter and soft cream on the palate but also a dry acidity, oak and pear / apple / lemon fruit with some spice. Mid weight but fair bit of power. One review I read after said it’s a modern style Burgundy, Californian wine with a nod to Jura and I can’t disagree. Great value
Pale yellow gold. Excellent nose with fresh hay, light pineapple, citrus and a real “verve”. Palate has real weight and depth - lovely fresh mango and limes. Attractive waxyness and viscosity on the palate with real persistence - only the gentlest oak notes - some gentle nuttiness as well. Totally drinkable now but should add extra depth over time. Akin to a young Grand Cru Burg in depth, but clearly very different flavours. Excellent. Drink 2021-30.
Medium lemon. Spice, pepper, yeast, maybe even a bit of liquorice on the nose. Medium/full bodied, quite tight. Spice and a little bit of oak. Quite well balanced, low acid. Enjoyable.

This tastes like the white white my mom drank when I was a kid, and the reason I didn’t touch white wine until I was in my 30s.
Technically it’s good, balanced. But the flavor is just very generic and “wine-y”.

Gorgeous!

Medium straw, watery at the rim.

Full-bodied,
The wine looks yellow gold colored.

Pretty pineapple and lemon citrus notes. Oak is evident but balanced with great acidity. Awesome creamy mouthfeel. Well done.

Back toward what I expect from this producer. Light but distinct fruit with pear, melon, nice acidity and balance. Very pleasing.

James Suckling gives it a 97. Excellent chardonnay.

Lightly oaked chardonnay. Subtle notes of citrus and lemon. Well balanced, smooth, light. and not astringent. Highly drinkable. Very good QPR.

Medium lemon.
Spice, pepper, yeast, maybe even a bit of liquorice on the nose.
Medium/full bodied, quite tight. Spice and a little bit of oak.
Quite well balanced, low acid.
Enjoyable.
