Floral and fruity in the nose, berries, cherries, mints, roses, and violets; complex, fruity, and smooth on the plate, berries, cherries, wood spices, and some unresolved tannins; medium+ long finish; overall, 92-93 points at this stage, quite enjoyable as paired with Italian cuisine, and some potential to become more mature in a few more years.

2/16/2022 2005 Bouchard Pere et Fils Nuits St. George Clos Saint Marc 1o Cru Cellared since release 45 minute decant Deep ruby, almost purple color with slight lightening at the rim. There was a complex nose of black fruit, forest floor, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate the wine was open knit (a bit usual for a NSG) with rich black fruit of considerable depth. There was excellent balance and complexity, with nice spice on the 30 second finish. Really enjoyable. Wish I had more
92 points.

Very solid. Still plenty of time ahead of this, but it is in a solid spot right now. Maturing fruits with still a touch of bright cherry. Perhaps a bit tart. Acidity balances everything. A bit square ... meaning, solid but not spectacular.

Needed a good 2 hour decant and time to come to room/drinking temp from cellar. Balanced and solid cherry fruits with nice expression. Will actually benefit from a few more years in the cave as still a bit tart/rough on finish.

Very impressive. Needed about an hour to open fully. Great nose, smokey, tart red berries along with a menthol side, hint of licorice. The palate is consistent with the nose, the fruit very pure and precise. Great balance, deep, expressive and long yet quite subtle and with much finesse. Very satisfying and has many more years of life.

Decanted an hour. This is the first bottle I opened from 2005 and it is still wound tight. A nice wine, but needs more cellaring for tannins to resolve. Fruit is still hiding. On the nose, concentrated cherries. Flavors of minerals, mature red fruits, floral with forest and bramble in the background. Short finish. Hopeful for improvement over the next couple years.

Very pleasant. Good fruit, ready to go. Not super long or complex but quite morish.

First of three drank with parchment paper salmon. Best when first opened. Acidity increased with air.

Don’t know Red Burgundies but this was terrific to me. Soft fruit. Nice finish. Balanced. A real treat.

Beautiful wine, and while young - displays great overall harmony. Beautiful floral notes amongst the dense fruit.
