Plums, chocolate, lilacs and Indian spices open the perfume. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine is soft, silky and fresh with layers of creamy cherries, cocoa and plums on the mid-palate and in the finish. Drink from 2023-2038.

(97% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 14.5% Alkohol) Verhaltene Nase, steinig, kühl anmutend. November 2022 in Zürich) www.vvwine.ch

2027-2042 (April/Mai 2021)

2020 First Look: I appreciate the light-hearted plummy character of the nose, perhaps lacking any great definition on the palate but it finishes well. 86-88

Redder character, (some rubber to my nose), this feels a little lighter… not terribly pleasant. Better on the palate, this shows some softer fruits, nice perfumed flavours, good texture and structure. Shame about the nose.

UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Juicy red berries, some smoke. Same on the palate, dark berries and a touch of sweetness. Good acidity and tannin. Beautiful wine with a good length.

The 2020 vintage UGCB tasting in Amsterdam 03/06/2023 (Amsterdam): A surprise for me, soft spices, juicy, tasty, round, concentrated and creamy combined with ripe fruit; very Pomerol-like in the balanced aftertaste; really good!

Soft, silky, forward, medium-bodied, elegant chocolate-covered, cherry-filled wine that is going to be delicious shortly after release. 89-91

Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney): Slightly meaty, dirty, lifted note over red and black plum, burnt toast. On the palate, though, this proves rather sour and unpleasant. Hmm.
